Your training progress acts as a decimal in the old training system, it factors into the game sim just like a decimal score. So say if your attribute is 70.21 and you have trained it to 80%, you are at 71 for that attribute.

The whole spending a training point to combine the two is useless when they already automatically combine as it is.

At least, that's how I understand the new system.

Nope.
You're at 70.21 until your training bar fills, then you're at 71.21
Otherwise there was no point in Bort even having a Training Bar; it would have carried on adding directly to the attribute(s).

I like the idea a lot...I don't know that I would ever do it...but since you can't see training points and/or the percentages unless it is your player there is no way I can think of for an owner to 'coerce' his players to do this as he wouldn't know if they had anything to apply or not.

Sounds good to me.

I don't necessarily see it as a waste, if you've got leftover in the training bar of a major stat it just adds it to the decimal which gets figured into the sim and the training bar does not.
