The 'announcement ' sounds like this is a done deal already, with decisions already made. Why not have a thread like this before decisions are handed down? Why wasn't EQ mentioned on the Super Sunday Poll, if nothing else, before implementing major changes. To me, as someone who started in season 11 (which according to some here means I don't get a voice), this is another example of something that's only a problem for the top 25% of leagues yet the fix applies to the bottom 75% unnecessarily. Wouldn't it be much easier just to have EQ decline like players--the longer you have it the less effective it is! That's actually even realistic (unlike visors that make you jump higher)--shit wears out, it breaks. Make it less effective for level 40 and up players without penalizing or confusing things for younger or newer players. I don't think anyone complains about AEQ in Cap 26 where my first player plays.

PS I read a lot of these things to learn, and this might be the first time I didn't agree with Deathblade on something--he usually seems to 'have the back' of the common player, but here is looks like he's defending this as his personal crusade.. Was it this your idea, Deathblade?

EDIT: Oh, and I also wanted to point out that it makes me wonder, of all the things that could be fixed in the game, why something like this is a priority.

what if Bort just took like a handful of us over to another server and made one league where he changed a huge aspect of the game each week and we had to adapt to all the changes until everyone in the league was satisfied with the end product?

Because it is a done deal, the decision is already made, and letting a lot of bitching affect the development of the sim has been hurting the game forever now.

Wronger. This change will fix every problem with the sim and allow a billion and one different viable build combinations.

I did appreciate the archetype, found that to be a refreshing change. Figured that the game was evolving. This just leads me to be believe that assessment was wrong and nothing has changed.

Make no mistake, when one archetype is more successful than others it too will be cut off at the knees.

I'm curious, how many of your players even have stacked % AEQ?
