still doesnt change the fact that there are some serious stacking from VA's...i think they may as well drop the hammer on it all and bring builds back to being the main supplier of a good dot. Not getting rid of VA's...but some of the stacks are ridiculous.

I would argue that the archetype's are a pretty big change.

Not really...building still works relatively the same. The math is slightly different, but it isn't like you have to spend all 5 SP per level in different attributes or something.

Sorry but I'm not going to read 22 pages of this stuff...

This only applies to the same +% item, correct?

a HB could have +fake chance and +break tackle change and both will function at 100%?

Only deals with stacking.

Forces players to try and find that 5% piece and to upgrade it to a high level to be effective. Also forces them to try other AEQ options.

30-35% is not super high.... I wouldnt even call it high. They are making these changes so that you cant get your % AEQ super high.

The question is --
Will these changes make for a better product?
Is the way it is being done the best for the game?
Is it the best for the consumer / customer?

It just appears that it is "one person's doing" and not the creator/owner (Bort). IF that is the way it is going to be.. so be it... BUT perception is greater than the actual content.

If you're referring to me, you need to understand my position is to report these changes and to act as the communications go between Bort and the user base because he doesn't have the time to do so. While I have input in these changes they are definitely not my doing -- nothing could be further from the truth. This change was actually suggested by a tester and discussed at length for over two weeks.

That being said, I'm not going to make excuses for these changes nor am I going to allow these changes to be swayed by a small number of people disagreeing with it. We're trying to make this game more balanced in all aspects - sim, EQ, and player development. The sooner we do this, the sooner we can get to a point where changes aren't needed on such a frequent basis.

Not necessarily, but if thats what one chooses to do, its their choice. Bort nerfing something that is successful, instead of allowing other builders to adapt is horsecrap.

Running QB's right now can run for nearly 1,000 yards a game on outside sweeps. Thats fine. You can still shut them down easy if you code the right defense. I would never complain to Bort so he would go in and cease these runs from being successful, but I know he will see they are, and find a way to stop this from happening.

Point is, people need to adapt to builds and strategies, not the game to those who arent keeping up.

The spread offense is killing it in CFB right now, but I dont think NCAA commissioner should step in and make rules so its easier to defend.

Great. I hope it works for everyone. It doesnt for me as I have said. Bort has gone about this entire thing the wrong way. I lasted longer than some of my friends from season 1 here, but I cant say that Ill spend another dime anymore. Perhaps that means nothing - either way though....

just stating my thoughts on the matter.

wat bort practically lets the customers make the game for him. always has and probably always will. he just does the leg work obviously along with his testers.

If everyone is destined to have the same builds, why not just make all builds the same, lock em down, and then people could just watch the SIMS instead of building, a la the Brute game...

I don't think the object is to make cookie cutter builds whatsoever.

I think this particular change makes the agent actually "choose" what kind of AEQ they want to go after. They can stack if they want or they can do something else.

Add the archetypes into the "anti-cookie cutter build" argument. It will certainly lend itself to build diversity. Look at WR's, 90% of them are 120 speed, 80-90 agility. To actually give a player a path from the beginning will help them follow the build they actually want.

And yet another fine example on bringing on new features that have not been thought and tested thorougly. I recall plenty on big fixes on VA and AEQ additions, are you finally starting to realize that every time you bring in something big that changes this game YOU SHOULD TEST IT very very very well - not just for ame engine to accept it but for impact on game and as this game is about trying to win you oppononet player somehow also exploitation of new features to the extremes. So please, if you dont have any ohter means to test practical impact of your new stuff, ask volunteers to try new changes on separated server for a few seasons (accelerated timeframe ofcourse)

Maybe we could make a new league were we can have all the crazy stacks and exploits. Like the old Robot Football game for the NES. The one where you could blow up the other team and crazy shit like that.

Lancer1997 could be the commish and run the show.
