I kinda like this idea. It would simplify things and make stacking irrelevant. Make them so the best piece could be powered up to say 30%?

Regarding "fair"...horse manure. I make a decent living, does that mean half my salary should go to my secretary? I mean thatd be "fair". In context of this game however, if you ttake away something that works all you do is benefit those who dont build well at the expense of those that do.

If everyone is destined to have the same builds, why not just make all builds the same, lock em down, and then people could just watch the SIMS instead of building, a la the Brute game...

My thought is that they still wanted % stacking to still exist but not give the player such a benefit. Basically to make it so that if you wanted a super high %, you still could but at the detriment of other AEQ pieces.

so its just good building to stack a bunch of % AEQ's together?

I would argue that the archetype's are a pretty big change.

Because that's a choice. Right now, the %AEQ is so overpowered that it's not a choice. Archetypes and %AEQ nerf lead to more diverse options when building your dots, not cookie cutter. What's difficult to comprehend about this?
