Tired of making shitty dots. Someone should volunteer to give me build lessons. Please.

Do or do not. There is no try.

Theo is 75% retired. He hasn't posted a rambler in quite a while.

He's the only person on here that's over 800 years old

Fwiw, there's no formula that works for every dot. It's more art than science.

Pick one type of dot and work at it. Multiple generations of them. Usually at least 3. Not one position, but a specific type of dot. Like INT CB, or a FF LB.

I'd suggest starting with defense. If you learn how to stop the offense, then when you make an offensive dot, you'll know how to avoid being stopped.

There's a metric @ss ton of information on these dusty old forums. It's like panning for gold though. You have to sorry through so much material to find the nuggets.

I 100% second this statement, but don't build weird defense dots like blitz LBs and pass rush DEs.

Mike Rogers was truly a genius, he just hung out with misfits who couldn’t build like he could. Most don’t remember him but he was the most knowledgeable about the sim and when he was made lead tester he learned evermore. Unfortunately his words are wisdoms are mostly gone.

RIP Mike.

I still have "Mike Rogers" in many of my defense playnames. He loved to blitz, I remember asking him a few times, "should we really be sending 5 on that down?" and he'd say "of course we should"
