does it matter what order your AI is stacked up? I mean it has the option to "move up/move down" each input, and I assume this is merely to get things in a pleasing visual order, but has nothing to do with anything else, correct?

The AI works from the top down till it finds a match. If you have 2 inputs for the same situation it will always run the one on top. This is useful for me because I can put a very specific input at the top then a blanket input below it.

ok. to help clarify for me, your saying that if I have a set input for say.. 3'rd and short, and below that an input for 3'rd and long, and they have specific inuts that wont overlap, it wont really matter which one is on top . right ?

but if I had an input for 3'rd and long, and had 4 outputs for that situation, each at 25%, then it would start at the top one? or be random based on the percentage in set (25)

or.. are we saying that if I had two identical inputs ( both 3'rd and long ) and only 1 output at 100% for each, that it would always use the TOP input for that specific input first?

sorry if I am confused, just trying to understand.

output order does not matter, just %.

The top INPUT would get used first

cool, thats kinda what I figured.

ok. wait a sec, why would they even have the option to "move up/move down" then? I mean, cant you just set a percentage for your output and be done with it?

I feel like I'm still missing something here.

Ok...

You can have one input for 3WR's that is between your goal and your 20 yard line. Let's say you want to run a shorter zone because you're backed up in your own endzone. You can run an output for 3-3-5 cover 2 zone under.

Now... let say you want a different defense call outside of the red zone. You would have a different input for 3WR's listed below the first 3WR input. This lower 3WR input can have its own outputs. You could run a 3-1-7 cover 3 man under 50% and a 3-3-5 cover 1 man under 50%.

I hope that helps...

Biggest thing here is the "I" formations.

List the Strong and Weak above Normal. Normal is the catch-all or default. If it sees this first, it will never get to any of the other "I" formations.

I have a defense that I run on MY team and it works like a charm. Tons of pressure on the QB and not allowing big chunks of yards or even many yards at all. I have recently loaded it to a team that I'm the DC on and through 2 games it has been horrible.

My team is lower leveled and there are worse teams in my league. But still there has to be a reason it hasn't worked at all. Good builds on both teams so I'm lost and want to fix it before I lose my DC job.

Any help/ideas would be great.

Thanks

Just some questions relating to defensive AI:

How many ways are there to get the SS or the FS in the box? Is it just done by blitzing, or will man coverage & certain zones bring him up? Does it have to do with run focus as well?

If I put a DE as an OLB, will the DE lose all of its SAs? (e.g. First Step).

In a cover 3 shell with zone underneath, will the SS be in man coverage or in a underneath zone?

What's the D set where the FS comes right up to line of scrimmage please?

1)Cover 0 will put both safeties in the box, Cover 1 will put SS in the box

2)the de wont lose his sa, but he will take a slight hit in attributes

3)the ss will be in his 3rd of the field in a deep zone along with the fs and a cb

I've been struggling with what D setting to use for the Pro set..... can someone email me and let me know what works best?
Also, what do you find is best for red zone D, being aggressive, or being more protective??
