Game throwing, or colluding in any way to help other teams, is clearly unfun bullshit. I understand everyone doing it makes it a no-win situation. So I implore you all to try to win every game, even if it's against another team you own. Even if losing rd1 of the playoffs gets your network 2 WL teams, and winning rd1 of the playoffs might only get your network 1 WL team.

No reason that multiple teams should be working together (read as win-sharing, colluding, cheating) to gain an advantage over independent teams.

In summary, you play to win the game! This is an online browser gamer. Anyone throwing games on purpose is making dotball a worse place to be.

S105 wk16 has a clear violation of this by WAR MACHINE. War never signed the original petition, but this move is still shitty and should be called out as a shitty thing. WAR lost the game on purpose so Asau would get the #3 seed.

While I fully understand the "desire" to throw games to get easier playoff matchups, if everyone does this it makes the game worse and less fun.

To be fair, what was gained from this? I guess I don't see how BIA is any easier than OPT. I wouldn't want to play either, lol.

If there was nothing to be gained then it makes even less sense to do it.

But the advantage/line of thinking is to not have to play me potentially twice to reach the championship. WM has their work cut out for them regardless and it's not the end of the world but it was clearly done in an effort to pit my two teams against each other in the first round.

If it's true, it's sad. I thought CL was all about playing the best teams, no easy games, everything earned, etc.

Either WAR saw BiA as easier than OPT, or prefered not to have to triple barrel playoff wins against RC, or preferred to knock RC down to max 2teams in rd2.

Regardless though, it's an unfit act. Let's say the team they decided to lose against as on the playoff bubble and them losing the game got them a better playoff matchup (but as a result let the team they threw against into the playoffs and knocked another team out).

End of the day, we are all here to have fun, and losing games on purpose to manipulate standings is unrealistic compared to modern sports and is inherently unfun.

Again, pre-snap GLB became this game-throwing hell-hole and this is a step back to that direction. Try to win the games on your schedule, it is not that hard to NOT intentionally put in a fake "I want to lose" AI like WAR did here.

Agreed, I wish there was a way to make these people more accountable. I was actually pulling hard for WAR MACHINE, now I can't imagine myself including them in any of my super biased rankings.

So they threw the game so they wouldn't have to play Orlando who they beat against having a mini helmet against them a few games ago just to play BIA who beat them twice this season already.

At first I also found this a bit confusing, like it was more of a gameplan mistake. I've done it. Add a package at the top with the wrong situational settings could ruin an entire offense. It was a Goaline Input and it fired every play the entire game, haha. I forgot to put OPP 5 to OPP G in the setting.

It doesn't appear to be a game plan mistake. They ran the ball on 3rd and long plays. they had a 4th and inches on the Orlando 43 and punted the ball. Looked at 3 of their other games against Jackels, Orlando and Asau where they go for it on 4th and a yard or less.

The owner, OC and the DC all logged on after I did my post, either they don't look in the forums or ignored what was being said.
You would think at least if it was an error in the game plan that the owner would come out trying to explain what happened.
