for an all running team it would make sense

on a team that also passes? unsure

Tackles have a few instances where it could be useful to an all rushing team. I don't see any play where it would fire for a C, unless I'm missing it.

Doesn't it also fire for screens? If so then there's several where the Tackle pulls out to block. Not sure if Centers do as well but, if they do, it's highly limited in # of plays it does so.

As of now, there are no plays where the C pulls.

If a C is fast enough, he might climb far enough to make Down Field Blocker fire.

It's pretty rare though.

Thanks TJ. I knew the center never pulled for rushing plays but thought I'd seen it on a screen or two.

Is showboat blocker worth it? Downfield blocker? Any suggestions for C, OT, and G's only would be appreciated.

If you are going 100% rushing, why not have multiple sets of linemen with different VA/SAs. Although we cannot fully control which linemen are in the game on any specific play, we do have some control using energy settings, and the GL DC.

I'm curious for an example here...

I'm not sure what the deal is, but maybe it was causing too many blocking glitches or something

Even on this play

Both of the Gs pull, but the C stays.

I have seen the C wandering around a bit trying to find someone to block, but nothing designed that way

IMHO? Centers have been the poster child for mistreated dots since I've been here. They're constantly getting double (and more) teamed and you can build them as good as, or better than, any Guard or Tackle and they'll never be equal in stats or even EL's. I've been building them for a while now and I'm really happy with them but it's not a dot you build for glory, that's for sure.

MM uses that, just for different reasoning - to get pass specialist OL out on any 3rd and med+ ...

3rdD starters on offense: On.
Depth chart: Pass focused starters. Run OL behind them.
GL depth: Run OL alone, or with pass OL backing them up, with fairly heavy adv energy to *mostly* keep them out.

3rd and short and want the pass guys off the field? Run GL plays.

Using that to get different run OL builds out, should apply in the same manner. Unless I misunderstood your post, and you were asking what the different run OL SA/VAs would be ...
