If bort continues to allow catch-up boosts at plateau, thers's no longer a VXP reason to use season 0 boosts. So forgoing them allows more trainings before alg's kick in = higher player value.

Optimal boosting would be...
S1d44 = 5 boosts
S2d44 = 5 boosts
S3d43 = 5 boosts
S4d33 = 5 boosts
S5d0 = 5 boosts
S5d1 = 5 catch-up boosts

I'm actually trying to convince bort to get rid of the catch-up boosts since thats kinda dumb.

I hear what you're saying, but I don't think this is provable in the blanket-statement form in which you've made it.

Edit: I guess you did throw that "likely" in the thread title.

Training when attributes are lower (each training is worth more AP value) and getting alg's when attributes are higher from training (higher cap when boosting = more sp value from boosts) is clearly and irrefutably mathematically superior, just for the record.

There's no mechanic that exists which makes boosting earlier superior (which is why we boost at the end of every year, ldo).

Again, I hear you, but in a system as complex as the one used for dot building, I just caution against blanket statements of any kind.

I did a comparison to an earlier test build I ran using the two boosting strategies and based off the results IMO Wise is correct that the most efficient way is to wait, however the end builds are still very close and may not be worth being under leveled your non-plateau career to you (which was always an option before, just now with the veteran XP equation removed) . Also entirely possible there is some human error/standard deviation built in here and could have gotten even closer results.

Power HB........Boosting 1st Offseason Boosting 2nd Offseason Difference
PV............................1482......................................1508....................-26
Strength..................104.02...................................105.01.................-0.99
Speed.......................88.34....................................88.35..................-0.01
Agility........................86.1......................................87.1....................-1
Carrying....................96.1......................................96.1.....................0
Jumping....................62.26....................................62.26...................0
Stamina.....................62.34...................................62.35...................-0.01
Confidence................40.1.....................................40.1......................0
Power Thru................10........................................11........................-1
Hurdle........................10........................................10.........................0

Dang, Ryan, think how many extra WL titles you could have been winning all these years with 2 additional ATT points and 1 additional SA point per dot!

Gj RC. Imho 26 EL (26 sp value) is nothing to scoff at given that's around 5 levels of SP.

As an aside, what did you use to calculate EL for vpb dots? Got a functional script you can share?

Just noting the error could go both directions.

Peeps do a lot of funny stuff for building to gain a much smaller edge than 26 SP. Clearly this will become meta for WL dot builders (including your teams RC).

That works fine on the Skill Point Page... but it doesn't work in connection with the VPB. I seem to recall there used to be a version of the Player Value On Skill Point page that would work in concert with the VPB and recalculate your player value as you built a dot with the VPB. Whatever happened to that?

I use the above script in combination with the VPB no problems. Anyone else not seeing it?

Here's an example WR before the majors change, you can see the PV at the top of the illustrated build https://i.imgur.io/53tuT1A_d.webp?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

Yeah, I just tried it, it won't update for me as I go through the build on the VPB. I'm running Chrome and TamperMonkey, what are you using, RC?
