No way! We might accidentally poison the server hamsters if we just go spraying that stuff around in the server room!

I mean, we 'could' all just hit the 'Refresh' button on our browsers after viewing the last page in a thread and then the 'New' notification is gone when we go back to the main thread, but we are all very busy building dots and game-planning whilst we are here on GLB.

That doesn't work. The other day, after I posted in a thread, I had to click on that thread six times to make the NEW button go away. Usually it goes away after two or three times, but it's still annoying.

It's also fixable. This isn't the first time this bug has popped up, and they've fixed it before, just a few months ago.

Weird...seems to work for me. I did have it not work once just now trying it more times though. But seems a lot less frequent than without refreshing. Annoying either way.

The issue isn't that the new doesn't go away when you view it. The issue is when you post, the new doesn't go away until you refresh like 6 times after exiting and going back in.

Just curious but has anyone attempted to see if it's a time-thing? Like you post then log off for an hour or two or three (ect, ect, ect...) maybe even return after rollover to see if the 'New' disappears? I ask because it seems that it's been this way forever. I post and anything I posted shows new no matter how many 'refreshes'. But if I go away (log out) and come back much later, it seems to be gone.

There is a time thing. I notice it especially with the Players Looking For Teams/Teams Looking For Players forums.

I suspected as much. (New) Posts need to either need for x-amount of time to pass by or for rollover to happen before the 'New' tag finally disappears.
