Hes much better than a level 1 dot. Period. He may be awful by the end of the season, but to begin with I anticipate him dominating the playing field.

Given his 1 VA and 25 EQ points he will probably be the worst dot on the team come playoffs.

Let's see, at the moment he has approximately
21 strength
21 speed
39 agility
4 jumping
10 stamina
8 vision
29 confidence
13 tackling
3% MT
That's not considerably better than a level 1 dot. The real benefit is probably from his SAs where he has 5 FS, 9 SB, and 6 TV. Still, this dot is shitty enough that I think he'll be on par with the rest of the team after 5 or 6 games. If he maxes out EQ he could probably stretch it a little further.

Any tips as to where to put my points?

All EQ in speed, intense stamina all season and level First Step with BTs.
