Or if they just wiped the entire minor league process for insta 79's, there wouldn't be a worry of how is this change going to trickle down the rest of the game. Certainly lots of ideas out there.

Yep, because after 45 seasons novice DCs still struggle to stop it. I have yet to see a play or formation that can't be stopped since they balanced the game out better.

At this point the only people who care about minor leagues are the ones that can't build for shit.

I personally think SB is the deadliest formation between its ability to pitch, use the TE, and screen. But you and Hcreek have always had my number even there.

I think you do realize that and thats the sad thing. Some people would rather stroke their epeen than make the game more interesting.

I didn't say it was overpowered. I said it was stupid because it makes for a boring metagame.

Its stupid because its the default "best choice" for an offense. It has the lowest risk and highest reward. Thats not to say it can't be defended but there's a reason just about everybody uses it a lot, including most WL OCs. And its because there's a good chance at a payoff homerun once per game with the right set of dots, against nearly all defenses, including WL defenses.

You might be able to stop it 100% of the time...I really don't know or care to look thru every one of your past boxscores to see how many hit. I'd take your word for it if you said it never happens to you tbh but 99% of the userbase can't make that claim. And that includes WL DCs that I doubt you'd call novices (otherwise, who isn't a novice?).

TL;DR version....it makes the game boring to watch.
