Pacific Pro Week 3 Showcase
Southeast Asia Conference
Arkadak Deadliest Warriors @ The Dead Presidents
ADW didn’t really make themselves any easier to get a read on; they lost in a very close matchup to Springfield but their running game was nearly non-existent and they did have a turnover in this game. Defensively there were a ton of missed tackles. DP; well, let me just say this to the Deadliest Warriors, you can’t kill what’s already dead. DP absolutely destroyed Halifax which honestly…I think sums up where they stand in SEA. I wish I could sit here and tell you that I think this game will be close but I don’t think that so I can’t tell you that I do.
Prediction: 75-10
Fortune Cookie Game of the Week
The Cult of Personalities, Wu! @ Palembang Royally Drunken Monks
First of all, no, I’m totally not making fun of the SEA with their “Game of the Week title names” .
For those of us who have been here, we’ve seen both of these teams before and we have come to realize they’re as legit as it gets, this is going to be one of the highlight matchups on the season for this conference. I’ll have a much better analysis breakdown on these guys after this game because imo, one way or another it should be a statement game for both.
Prediction: CPW 20-17
[uOceania Conference
OffTopica Immortals @ ”Hardcore” Williamsport Soul Reavers
I’ve prided the OT teams for being pretty competitive and playing games very close; however in Week 1 they blew out a CPU team and last week, in their first competitive matchup, they forgot to show up to the stadium..maybe they stopped at a Turkey Hill and get incorrect directions? After 3 interceptions last week and not much else to speak of at all, I’m not typically the type of guy that picks my own team in my own write-ups but the reality is, WSR has started their season off with a lot more momentum, maybe the competition (CPU team in week 1 and blowout win in week 2) hasn’t been quite what we expected it to, that’d be a fair criticism, but either way, there isn’t going to be a change of momentum this week for WSR imo…unless OTI really proves me wrong.
Prediction: WSR 55-14
Stockholm Black Death @ Christchurch Fighting Maori
CFM made a statement in Week 2 against OTM and that statement came in the way of 2 QBs how passed for 3 TDs each and over 200 yards each. SBD made a statement too, their statement was “Better Luck Next Time”. They dropped their first conference by a narrow 2 point margin to $C$. I am anticipating this to be a very close matchup because in reality, both teams appear to be very good; we’re going to have to see more of both of their rushing attacks and certainly less missed tackles.
Prediction: SBD 14-13
OffTopica Miracle @ Kosovo Kyptonite
I’m at a standstill right now; I feel like I’ve overestimated the quality that OT is bringing to the table. After beating OTW in week 1 they got thrashed by CFM in week 2, whereas Kosovo won both of their initial matchups and neither were close. The bottom line in this game is that OTM is going to have to prove they can play on a level that is above what they have displayed thus far or they are going to be in for a very long night.
Prediction: Kosovo Kryptonite 35-3
Oregon Ducks @ Bow Chicka Brown Cows
Completely disregarding their initial matchup against a CPU team, the Oregon Ducks got stomped in week 2. They barely mustered an offense at all; if it weren’t for Toby Gerhart and Mike Hart, they might never have scored. Going into a much better BCBC, they are simply out matched. You want predictions? Here’s a prediction; BCBC is going to light the Oregon Ducks up like a Christmas Tree.
Prediction: 110-3
Outback Game of the Week
$in City $yndicate @ Razorback Nation
They are who you thought they were…or are they? It’s been like $C$ at times to drop close games rather than win them. Against SBD they came out with a very close victory that seems to suggest that just maybe they’re a better team than they were last season. Razorback Nation of course, well, I currently have them tabbed as the best team in Oceania and they did nothing in the first two weeks to change that opinion. PRDM definitely gave RN a run for their money but RN held on to claim the victory and in Week 2, they beat down a CPU team. Their starting QB already has over 1,000 yards on the season and 46 TDs..I mean seriously..we’re going into week 2… Both of these teams are going to have to show up with their A game and the team that wins this game is very likely going to be the team that ends up with the final possession in the ball game.
Prediction: Razorback Nation 35-31
