So can anyone give an outline of a good first year strat? I quit about 2 years ago simply because I got disinterested, my dots produced moderately and I had a SS who led the league in picks (first year so it wasn't very prominent).

Also how much BTs should I invest into training?

First find JD's write up on .5 builds and give it a read. Good stuff. Second, most everyone tries to push their primary above 80 by the end of the first season. Depends on the position, the archetype, and the desires of the builder as to what he wants the dot to accomplish. As for BT's... myself personally... I spend very little of them at the start if I'm building a "roll for my AEQ" dot. If I'm going to build all my AEQ, it's much easier to do the math for the build and, if going down that road, then I know how many BT's I have to spend early on (because I did the math) and spend it early (switching BT's for SP's) rather than late. I just believe you get more out being able to push a skill up early (alg's) than late in the build. But I advise getting more than just my (or any ONE person's) input. At least you got something to start with. Good luck!
