Put all points into speed until level 19. If you do it right, speed shold be somewhere between 82-87 by the end of season one.
The way you described it is actually pretty terrible. No one builds that way anymore. Not being a dick, just honest. PM if you have more questions.
On a side note, save up your Bonus Tokens. BTs are very important when it comes to buying EQ down the road. VERY IMPORTANT.
Are you a booster?

Do NOT neglect vison, putting it all into speed, gives you a very fast CB that cant see the ball coming and who cant tackle.
I would multi train speed and vision.

I ALWAYS four way mutli train in season 1, while dumping all SPs into one attribute.
However, I do agree you must not neglect vision

There needs to be a forum rule that people who don't know what the fuck they are doing can't give build advice.
It's possible to build a good dot without doing it your way. Why are you such a cry baby?
I think what Sellars is saying is important. What good is having a 180 speed CB if he can't jump to deflect a pass... and gets faked out of his shoes because his vision is deficient... which is the byproduct of going psycho over a singular skill. Here's a good example of that: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5105330
I know the builder took "possession receiver" to the extreme... and probably thought this made sense at first. But building in GLB... sometimes some stuff doesn't follow logic. Speed ending between 150 and 170 is a good number but ONLY if the build is rounded properly so it can USE the speed to good effect.

Difference between a poorly built dot, and not being efficient.

It is both of those to focus on only SPD for a cover CB an entire first season...

There was no crying there. Just pointing out that many new users are pushed away from this game because people who can't build worth a shit try to give advice when they should be the ones asking for advice.
And I'm fully aware that it's possible to build a good dot without doing it my way. But I'm not interested in building good dots; I only want to build elite dots.

I never promoted focusing on speed for a CB. I started MTing my CB like Day ~22 or so
