Retired a bunch of DB's named Washington. The builds all looked pretty decent, but none of them won all that much hardware. Meh.

Probably this guy:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4305919

I didn't bother trying to find a home for him after the team was not renewed. I might throw him into the d-leagues for a season and try to find him a home next season. I don't know... I might just retire him for flex.

I probably should have specified that they're worthless in the WL.

Do you think the result would of been more satisfactory if his catch was over 100, agility 90 or so and maybe 20 points faster?

I'm probably retiring my rTE who had a productive career, but who could also serve as a poster-child for what's wrong with BOTH the HOF and the MVP awards.

Jermichael Finley Roadgrader: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2209600&playoffs=0

Jermichael was a "adequate-to-good" World League TE, spending 5 seasons with HOOD and posting 203 catches for 4288 yards while there.

But because the HOF puts entirely too much emphasis on ALL stats, and doesn't weight World League performance heavily enough, Jermichael magically has a HOF ranking higher (27th) than 2 other TEs I created that were clearly superior. Todd Roadgrader is the career World League leader in receptions (584) and receiving yards (8,028) and helped HOOD to a WL title in Season 23 (11 catches and a TD in the title game). Jim "Crash" Roadgrader was also a WL force, finishing with 468 World League receptions for a little over 5700 yards. Todd Roadgrader and "Crash" were arguably 2 of the top 5 receiving TEs to ever grace the World League. Both of those TEs caused DCs to gameplan for them, and even then they were a handful. By comparison, Jermichael was a "nice" dot, but not the same threat-level that the other 2 presented--he shouldn't be ranked ahead of either of them, much less by 20-something spots.

The HOF needs to be reformed to:

* Give dramatically more weight to performance at the World League level (there's already some weighting there, but not enough).
* Cease to give any weight at all to performance at any level (other than World League) once a dot has completed their first season of decline. Jermichael's HOF ranking jumped from 75th to the current rank of 27th based on ridiculous numbers he compiled in a NINE game stretch last season junking through a lousy Regional Pro league. That's not the way any legitimate alltime ranking of dots should work.
* There's also some odd dots who appear on the various lists that played during the pre-WL era that seem to be "gifted" a ranking higher than even the stats would support, regardless of the level of competition. I'm not sure what the formula is looking at, but it certainly merits a review and some fine-tuning.

Jermichael's last season serves also to highlight basic changes needed to the MVP formula. Jermichael nearly stole an MVP award last season by signing on to a Regional Pro team that force-fed him the ball. He was in that league only NINE games, but leaped up to the 2ND spot in the MVP race--he actually was IN THE LEAD with only 2 games to go. The team he played on had less than 5 human dots for most of the season and won only 4 games overall. The MVP award shouldn't be available to dots on teams with losing records, and shouldn't be available to dots on teams that don't have at least 20 human-built dots. If those changes were made to the formula, controversies regarding stat-padding would be significantly reduced.

Good luck making a 2200 EL wr.

The problem is that secondaries on good teams are running with 75-85 tackling, 15+% make tackle, +15 dvg and often 15 sure tackler.

If you hit your proposed benchmarks you'd virtually never break a tackle.
