111.20 Throwing (166.2 w/ EQ, 174.54 w/ LA VA)
100 Vision
88.26 Strength
73.26 Agility
76.20 Confidence
49.26 Stamina
22.26 Carrying
6 Speed
10 Jumping

10 Pocket Presence
10 Tight Spiral
11 Pump Fake
4 On the Run
4 Dump Pass
9 Look Off

AEQ:
22.5% Fake Chance
21% Pass Quality

I started him on day 2 of the season so that he can use LOL Clever Instincts through the minor leagues.

He had 10 points in Pump Fake before level 40. With Clever Instincts and fake % AEQ I expect he will make a lot of teams look stupid in the minors.

Also, strength would have been higher, but I had to choose the Pocket Passer Arch to get the bonus to Pump Fake.

Any issues with either agility (looks fine... could be higher) or confidence (While many are dumping confidence on their dots, I still think it's important for QB's and kickers... is yours high enough for you)?

Yeah, I think so, for what the build is intended to be. He won't suffer morale issues... Just fumbles with no speed, carrying, jumping, and too little strength.

Besides, he's still got all that SP Value (1780 or something), and someone told me SP Value is all that matters.

You'll want more pass quality than that. Passing QBs should probably go with 4 AEQ.

He's mostly being built to abuse the lol minors with clever instincts.

I could switch the two pieces (22.5% PQ, 21% fake), but with the direction I was planning to take the build, I was thinking two will be enough.

Hurries will probably be an issue.

Oh, yeah I didn't notice that. Low speed is a pain in the ass. You definitely want at least 30.

Agreed. I mostly screwed up the buld because he was built on day 2 (to make use of clever instincts), as a result I totally missed the number of days that had passed and I didn't switch the multi-training until too late.

What's your opinion on the confidence? The natural instict is to take it higher because it is a major on a three major build, but I remember that test from the test server showing that the % of bad passes wasn't really lower on a build with higher confidence.

If I ever make a new QB I'm planning to only cap or second cap confidence. Of course, I wouldn't pick the Pocket Passer archetype for that.

Naturally. I'm on the Deep Passer trend myself, but I went with Pocket Passer strictly to get the bonus to Pump Fake.

I agree on confidence. It is tough as a builder to ignore it as a 3 Major ALG, but I agree that there just isn't a lot of hard evidence showing that you need to push confidence. I'm glad you agree. Until I try it and see it fail, I'm not sold on high confidence on a QB (high being 75+).

75 Confidence build, 10 Pocket Presence, level 79:

74 Confidence build, 9 Pocket Presence, level 72:

Instead of pushing confidence I pushed agility (80 on both of them).

Bort said that confidence helps on third down plays for receivers to make the catch, I'm wondering if a low confidence QB would struggle on third down? If there is a significant difference, it would be interesting to see.

definitely higher speed

You won't even start your progressions until you hit a certain point in your dropback. I'd also grab Quick Read over Look Off.

Confidence is supposed to act like Pocket Presence. Essentially the higher the confidence the less your QB's pass quality is affected by pressure (and note that pressure can occur without a hurry being registered).

Kind of up for debate on where the bottom threshold is for a healthy amount of confidence. Could be 60, could be 73, could be 90 and we're all idiots, lol.

I thought Bort said the fake% doesn't work on pump fake? I remember planning on doing the same with high pump fake and fake% but found out it didn't work on that.

They've said that it does work but when I've had fake AEQ on QBs I never noticed any benefit.
