Last time I had a peewee team was ages ago...
It used to be that to sign dots they had to be created on day 39, or later...

What is the policy now? How soon can you make dots for a rookie team?

Build on Day 40 and you'll be fine.

If you build on Day 39, then at rollover from Day 39 to Day 40, your dot will age by a day, and then you're screwed.

Build on Day 40, or any day after that actually... even if you build on Day 48, you'll get retroactive Training Points back to Day 40.

^ that, but actually you can wait all the way until day 0 of following season and get retroactive TP's as if built on day 40 and still be age 0 . Good for peewee or anyone that does not plan to boost the creation off-season(by day 48) from lvl1-lvl4

^ Very true... important for Pee Wee dots.

But for non-Pee Wee dots, you really want to create before Day 48 (and on or after Day 40). Otherwise, your dots will be one set of boosts behind all the way up the ladder until Plateau. That's fine if you couldn't care less about what your dot does until it hits Plateau, but for people who actually want their dots to do stuff and be useful on the way up, building before Day 48 is very helpful.

The OP mentioned both Pee Wee and Rookie, so I wasn't sure which he was building for, since they're not the same thing anymore.

Bane's right then... since you're building a Pee Wee dot, you can build any time from Day 40 of this season up to Day 0 of next season and be fine.

For dots going to Rookie instead of Pee Wee, my recommendation is build between Day 40 and Day 48, before this season rolls over to next season. If you build after the season rolls over up to Day 0, you'll still get the retroactive Training Points back to Day 40 like Bane said, but you'll be 3 boosts behind until Plateau, at which point you'll finally be able to catch up.

This is correct, but if you build Day 0, you will be 3 levels behind, until the end of the build.

Day 40 is the best day in my own opinion, becuase then you have the longest amount of time to find and get accustomed to your new team. But wait- I remember you !! You had some great dots back in the day, We GMed for the same team if I recall. Good luck with your new players!
