Even ignoring any kind of magical "zombie virus", it's hard to fathom what kind of maladies would be lurking around in a dead body's mouth after months of semi-decomposition.

Never seen that show, but you just described most zombie movies ever made.

they are all infected but only turn into the zombie once they die. as i recall from earlier deaths, the bitten area can cause death thru the fever so cut the leg off and the person is more likely to live. but no way in hell do i give mouth to mouth to a dead person.
