If people only posted in threads they were interested in, I'm pretty sure these forums would die entirely.

Be careful what you wish for...

I remember when mods would PM a warning to the poster in order to get control of a thread back.

Locking is moderating? Where did you get that idea from?

I watched some of the presidential debates, and while I didn't find the moderating to be that effective, they certainly would never just shut down the debate when one of the candidates broke a rule.

oh yes please do continue to compare a presidential debates moderation to the moderation of an online forum. I'd love to watch you further make a fool of yourself.

The Mods are insane in this game.

Lock, move, merge. They have way too much time on their hands.

It distracts from the discourse and in a game that is petering out like this, thats not a helpful thing.

I love the way you pretend to be the resident expert on every single subject.

It might be because the OP did nothing wrong and was punished by having his thread locked.

And he's not allowed to re-make the thread, lol.

You first: where did you get the idea that locking is moderating?

Just because you can turn something into a slogan doesn't make it an effective argument... even on the internet.

I'm describing an example of moderation that is widely known to make a point that you may not know what a moderators job is.
