On my slow connection I have to let the play load fully before I can see the juke icon. Sometimes I have to let it replay it a couple times. Maybe you are clicking through the plays so fast the icons don't have time to load ?

Try to keep stamina at least as high as your level. Use one or two SPs per level on SAs.
