4 stars is wrong. Period. If you're doing 4 stars in your secondary you're gonna end up spending BTs for nothing in return. AGAIN. I think I told you this already. Have you checked?

Edit: That was kind of mean. Sorry.

"Period" and "never" are kind of extreme. My oldest active QB has 4 stars in throwing.

Actually, I also put 4 stars in strength in some of my older OL. I haven't done it for a while, but I wouldn't say I'd never do it again.

Just because you did it does not mean you did it RIGHT. Check the graphs posted above by golan and if you understand what is shown there, you'll understand why 4 stars is worse than 3 and 5.

To be clear, the point was that "never" and "period" are too absolute. All of the dots I put 4 stars into were created pre-APD. All I was saying was that I wouldn't say I'd never do it again. There may be a time when 4 stars is better than 3 or 5. There may be situations like that now, but I don't know of any.

And my trophy case, especially when compared to yours, shows I'm doing something right. So .

*Sigh*

It's people that you that make me feel like never getting on the forums again. Maybe I should just stop coming here and not helping out newer players and let the people like you do it.

Have fun with your trophy case, keep bragging about it in the faq forum, and see how much that helps newer players when they wrongly go 4 stars -> NOW <-.

I'd agree with this if it weren't for the fact trophies have nothing to do with building dots. I could GM, OC, and or DC 100 teams, yet own 0 players and possess dozens of trophies.

I've looked at that recently and I'm still a little worried that it's wrong.

Here is the Bort perl script for the training percentages that is right on, in case anyone really wants to see how the training values are calculated and get the right values.

Generally though, I agree with Hagalaz. I've 5* enhanced before and can't get the value back through the training. Maybe there are a few instances where it does work, but you have to really focus on the one attribute for a long time and not let it slip over 100 too early. This C had agility 5* enhanced so I could get it higher than usual, for example, and I think it just about worked: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2255274 (100 nat agi at the end)

I personally like 2 stars. I also like getting all the attributes I'm multi-training up to 48 once I cap my first two. I seem to get more value that way since by that point the ALGs have dropped.

Only way I can imagine it working is if you're going for 3 AEQ (and therefore multi-training longer), while also stopping skill point investment pretty early on that attribute (maybe 68 or 73).

^this^ is some of the best insight I've heard in a long time. Many post ultimatums and absolutes as to "do this" & "don't do that" but give little insight as to why. Over many seasons I've build and destroyed dots in all fashions and kept notes so I can compare like builds. Each season I've built dots a little better with each attempt and info gathered. That's how I believe it is done unless you're name is Epps or Einstein and can whip up mathematical charts like kids chow frosted flakes. Also, good chart by Golan. dmfa41 has given me a new toy to play with. Thanks.
