London Monarchs ( 7 - 1 ) vs. Mentone Beach Assault ( 7 - 1 )

Well it's a matchup of the two upper tier teams although the Assault has not really faced anyone yet, this will be a good marker to see how true their current record really is. The Monarchs enter the game with a far superior roster and the abiltiy to hold on to their record and a possible home playoff game. However, the Assault's basic gameplan into buying into the Season 28 SIM seems to be working.

I'll take the Assault because I have to, but we are not a real 7-1 team so I won't be surprised by a loss.

Black Hand ( 5 - 3 ) vs. San Antonio Heat ( 5 - 3 )

Both teams coming off of bizarre losses makes this matchup interesting; as both teams should make the playoffs, this matchup could determine their position. The Heat have played the top two teams in Zetz, while the Black Hand still needs to matchup with those teams so it's hard to really say which team is the better.

I'll take the Black Hand to continue the the loss counter for the Heat; mainly because when I pick the Heat they lose.

Regensburg Steel Rain ( 1 - 0 ) def. London Monarchs ( 1 - 0 )

I've seen a lot of posts about how great the Monarchs are or maybe it was just that they're back in the league. Seems like a bug to me, but I don't have enough replays to prove it. Either way they escaped Week 1 with a win, but now they get to show they belong against the tough Steel Rain. So is it just foggy in London? Or is it rainy there too?

I'll take the easy bet and the Steel Rain to continue their reign.

Black Hand ( 0 - 1 ) def. Howlin' Wolves ( 0 - 1 )

Both teams are starting off with a loss, but neither is a team to sleep on. Both will be fighting for a home playoff game by the end of the regular season so starting off 0-2 won't be acceptable. It should be a very close game and one to keep an eye on; maybe one of them will actually game plan!

I'll take the Black Hand for ole times, but it's going to be a close one.

The Monarchs are taking their return to WEPL serious as they're off to a fast 2-0 start and against quality veteran WEPL teams. They came into the league saying not to underestimate them; maybe we should be paying attention to their words. At that some time the TIgers are trying to lay in the wake of all the elite teams waiting to attack.

Golden Cow Misfits ( 2 - 0 ) vs. San Antonio Heat ( 2 - 0 )

Great matchup here, but I'm guessing the Misfits know they can't handle the Heat or they would have bumped the Heat loss counter by now. Both teams are starting off on a solid win streak and the Misfits are quiet; don't wake the sleeping giant.

I'll take the Heat in what I would consider an upset, but that loss may wake the Misfits out of their slumber.
