My current favorite (and been my go-to for awhile) is Avery The Maharajah. It has a great balance of malt, strong hop bitterness, and alcohol. I buy a couple bombers of the shit whenever I see it; it's too hard to pass up. easier to get right now is lots of Double Trouble from Founders.

It's hard to say I have a go-to because I always aim for something that looks good and I haven't had. But when I am in the mood for something I know, it's 90 min or Dogfish head's Indian Brown or Boulevard's IPA out of their smokestack series. But like I said, I usually always try something I've never had.

I try a lot of new stuff, but Avery Maharajah being on the store shelf means it's coming home with me.

Regular season beers are good and all but one brew not mentioned here is Purgatorys seasonal. We are a seasonal thats only featured in the playoffs. Heres my comparison.

Pyramid Super Snow Cap - Yeah the first time it went down easy, but when its time for the real show to start you are too wasted to remember this brew kicks your ass every winter.
