Just like when my team won A. A was a helluva lot tougher than all of the AA leagues and pretty much all of the AAA leagues. If it wasn't for a fuck up on my part (accidentally deactivating the DAI) we would have won our AA league the next season as well.

you can boost early and cap other attributes sooner when most are still focusing on primary. how is that hard?

Nope, we were 16-0 and the 1 seed and barely lost in the first round to a scrub #8 team (a team which we beat handily during the regular season). Don't believe me? You can ask ghuffman http://goallineblitz.com/game/home.pl?user_id=173970 who is a renowned DC in WL. He was our DC that season.
