I think this is where DJL's thread to Catch22 needs to be placed on a billboard, lit on fire, gather the ashes in an urn, and shoved up his bunghole.
How many outcomes of important games came down to STs???
Teams who play opponents of equal talent, equates to crappy offensive games. After the 1st round of the playoffs, I would say that the the ave yards of offense per game is around 185 or so. Most teams who won, including NHG, had to depend on defense or STs to score. Which clearly shows we need more diversification on offense.
Which in turn shows that teams have somewhat figured out how to stop the outside runs, and short passing game. You can basically say, that before the game even starts, that there will be two fgs each, and the other team wins with a ST td, is completely heinous. The game, at least for me, has lost it's luster, and I really don't want to go back to advanced Al to get my fix.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to blitz your ROLB say 50%, and not depend on the sim to choose who blitzes.....then screws it up in the process????
As DJL says, I use the American Dollar to pay for flex, not monopoly $$$. I feel casual is in a sad state of affairs right now, and no resolution is in sight.
Maybe Bort can nerf the STs next, and the top teams can go 10-1-5 in the regular season, with the 5 ties being all 6-6 final scores.
That is all. Good Day.

I agree, this all started onc the inside run went away, remember back in the bad when you could actually run dive plays with a speed back up the middle for gains

let's not start nerfing special teams just because there was a single punt return for TD in the championship game. I agree that special teams need attention, but not a nerf, not even close!

The Combined total of offensive TDs from the Quarterfinals, semis, and championship game(6 games) was 4...FOUR!!!
The combined Defensive TDs from the same 6 games was 1....
The combined ST's TDs from the same 6 games was 6.............SIX!!!!
This doesn't include the 85-3 win from RD over Bus Drivers....Which RD had 8 more ST TDs.

I'm not asking for a nerf on STs....That wasn't the point to my original post. The point being, the offensive options at ELITE CASUAL level sucks balls.

This was a good point brought up by Plastic4ork:
the problem is there is no top end limit for speed in regards to size of players, you can have Lbs and De's that are just as fast or faster then Wr's and not to mention 2x the size. a guy that is 6'5 250 lbs with 100 speed should not be fast fast as a guy that is 5'10 165 lbs with 100 speed. also if you have an Oline and a Dline with = builds the DL has a big edge due to the rolls, thus its next to impossible to run inside

they almost need to limt how fast you can make players example if a Wr or HB get a top speed of a100, an outside lb should top out around 85 awhile a SS shoudl top out at 90 and a DE at say 70... something along those lines or maybe once a wr gets to 60 speed they hit the 3x cap while a linbacker hits the 3x cap at say level 48

It it pretty funny I have my formation percents spread out and have shotgun set to 0. Of course it calls shotgun plays. Auto adjust off and all of the play calls based on score are unchecked. I agree 100% with this, but, GLB doesn't give a shit about casual so I'm afraid it's no use.

Just wait till the guys come in here and put lolCasual.

Something I posted in suggestions. That is another problem with casual. I can't tell you how many times I had 3rd and short and the sim calls a bad shotgun run that gets stuffed. Because we are casual we only get 70% control of our offensive calls? Catch said they put that sim calling 30% of the plays was a fix to prevent play spamming.
