Ahem, nice write up, but actually if Monarchs win out, they get to the same record as Gold Coast, with the tie breaker.

If that happens and Chesapeake also finish with just one loss, then its a three way tie, with the head to head tiebreaks a draw, so it gets very messy.

Don't think it happens because I'm on holiday for the next 3 games, so Monarchs could lose all three.
But I've known people to get caught out by overlooking these things before.

West Africa hasn't played Honolulu yet. Should the Warriors lose, I'd expect Rammstein to win the tiebreaker, whether it's head-to-head with Honolulu or a three-way with West Africa.

...and I have no plans to let Sainte-Foy play Holland Pinoy in the playoffs. That's a recipe for disaster.

While technically true, judging by head to head games I would expect a Warriors win. Of course this is GLB and anything can happen.

With only 2 games left in the season here are my rankings:

Eastern Conference:
1 Gold Coast Crocs 14-0-0
2 Chesapeake Sea Serpents 13-1-0
3 Sainte-Foy Nordiques 3.0 12-2-0
4 London Monarchs 13-1-0
5 Axis: Pinoy All Stars 3 10-4-0
6 D-Town Bushwalkers 9-5-0
7 Nashville Isotopes 9-5-0
8 West Africa Warriors 8-6-0

The top 8 teams in the Eastern Conference are pretty much guaranteed, the only question still remaining is where teams are seeded.

Assuming no Major Upsets:

1. The Gold Coast Crocs will have the First Seed. With only London's loss to Sainte-Foy, even if they loose to London they will be 15-1 and would hold the tie-breaker against Chesapeake.

2. Chesapeake has earned the 2nd seed by beating Axis: Pinoy. Their last 2 games are against non-playoff teams.

3. Sainte-Foy Controls it's own destiny as far as making 3rd Seed. They should easily skip past West Africa, and then only have Nashville to face. Sainte-Foy needs to stay on their toes for that game, as Nashville has played 2 top 4 teams to within 3 points, and nearly upset London.

4. London will be the 4th seed. Even if they drop their next 2 games, they still will hold the tie-breaker over Pinoy. It is technically possible for them to get to 3rd seed if they win out, and Sainte-Foy looses in weeks 15 and 16. I just don't see it happening.

5. Axis: Pinoy will end up 12-4 on the season and hold the 5th seed. They could tie London at 12-4 buy London holds the tie-breaker.

6-8 assuming no upsets.

6. The D-Town Bushwhackers are looking good for the 6th seed, even with an expected loss to London they should finish 10-6 if they beat West Africa.

7. The Nashville Isotopes have a chance to move up to 6th seed, but they need D-Town to loose to West Africa, and need to beat Sainte-Foy to do it. I'll pencil them in for 7th.

8. The West Africa Warriors are pretty much a lock for the 8th seed. Even with expected losses to Sainte-Fopy and D-Town, it would take a Rammstein win over Chesapeake to dislodge them. I don't see that as a very likely scenario.

1st Round Predictions: I know it's early, but it makes it more fun if I do it early. (Revised Edition)

Game 1: Gold Coast Crocs vs West Africa Warriors
Prediction: Gold Coast 43-10

Game 2: Chesapeake Sea Serpents vs Nashville Isotopes
Prediction: Chesapeake 24-14

(Now it gets hard)

Game 3: London Monarchs vs Axis: Pinoy All Stars 3
Prediction: London 25-14

Game 4: Sainte-Foy Nordiques vs D-Town Bushwalkers
Prediction: Sainte-Foy 35-10

Summary: With this weeks games, Sainte-Foy came up the big winner. Not only did they manage to avoid Axis: Pinoy in the first round, but they force London to play them in the 1st round. Either way, one tough team is eliminated.

Chesapeake solidifies the chances of a 2nd round re-match against London. However they will have to get past Nashville who has a history of coming up big in tough games. Despite Chesapeake's 37-9 drubbing in their regular season game, Nashville is quite capable of beating Chesapeake as they did in a scrimmage last season.

So far it's looking like it's going to be an interesting post season!

Soooo glad that we're (currently) avoiding a playoff rematch. If Cryptotich jinxed us with his crazy talk about destiny and toes, I'll be very put out.

No work up on how the western conference plays out? Or are we just doomed to lose to whomever comes from your side? lol

I like how we're getting our playoff games right at the end of the season. We'll have a decent idea of where we stand.

If no one else does before me, I'll take a shot at sorting out the West tonight. I frankly haven't really been paying attention to what's happening when in that conference. It's pretty clear that the top 3 teams are Thunder Bay, Fort Wayne, and Chicago, but I couldn't place them in order off the top of my head. I can't even tell you which one beat Chicago without looking.

That's not to say that I've written off the West before the season is finished. I don't think it's quite as deep on top as the East is, but there's certainly talent on the three aforementioned teams and it only takes one of them to win a championship.

(My team shared a conference with Chicago a few seasons ago, and has had a few games with both Thunder Bay and Fort Wayne, so there's some history there.)

I haven't really been paying attention to the west. The east is keeping my hands pretty full.
