A&M was in agreement with Texas with regards to most of the moves by the Big 12 up until the start of the Longhorn network. True Texas offered to make a joint network completely not true , but A&M refused because, according to your AD, a regional network like that couldn't work. True because as we are witnessing right now, TLN is struggling to get off its own feet as we speak. If I were a Baylor, SMU or even an Aggie, I would be infuriated to know I had to pay an additional 40 cents a month to help the Longhorns to my cable provider. Add in the fact that the content for 168 hours a week will be all about the Longhorns. I don't care what team you root for, you will not be able to sell a network for one team with that minimal content. The loss of HS football games was a major blow as well. Fast forward 10 months and Texas has 300 million reasons why a regional network will work along with its own brand being broadcast into recruit's households. Will work? I agree they have 300 million reasons to watch money fall out of the sky and they had to do nothing to achieve it other then sign the dotted line. OU/A&M joint network wouldn't work because they have all the upstart fees, the hiring of people, and they would have had to fill the network with their own content. Texas, to their credit, has to do NOTHING but play the games. It is ESPN's responsibility to burden the costs of the network, ESPN's responsibilities to add content, and most importantly, pay Texas 20 million a year. Will it work though? Right now, it is failing, but the good news is, then BIG Network took a awhile to get off its feet too. Now A&M wants to claim that big bad Texas makes it their way or the high way. The network was announced a long time ago and there was no problem with it from anyone, including A&M, until it got off the ground. Yup. I think the problem was A: they knew it wasn't financially feasible to do it themselves, B: High School games were going to be played on TLN (which is only being stopped for a year until the NCAA pulls their heads out of their ass), C: They were only going to have one televised football game on TLN, until ESPN realized what a mess they had with TLN, and were able to work a deal with FOX to add another game which would have to be a conference game. The question is, where does it stop in regards to this? Now you throw a big hissy fit because your AD was wrong. I am throwing no hissy fit, I am laughing actually, because I get to see the ISU, KSU, and KU pray for a life line after they sold their souls to Texas. I couldn't be happier where we are now. You are no different from Nebraska running away out of envy that you don't have the success that we have nor do you have the brand that we have. I don't know what you speak of. You make fun of Ray for only speaking recently, but last I checked, NU had more NC then UT does and we don't sit smack dab in the middle of the best HS athletes every year. You're cutting off your nose to spit your face, and it will be hilarious to watch you bleed out during your time spent getting abused in the SEC. Oh I see, you think I am a Aggie fan.....no I feel sorry for them, because the referees will job them on their way out the door to freedom.
