Wrong story. Mack didn't have the phone, it was Walt. Nice try...next?

Anyway, let's get back to the important talk, the upcoming football season. Question: Will the sips win a home conference game this season or will they let the streak continue? They play the following at home:

OSU
Kansas
Texas Tech
Kansas State

You were also caught cheating during that time period and were declared ineligible to play in bowls twice because you were cheating so bad. That is how pathetic aggies are. All they can claim for their benefit is a tied record over an arbitrary period.

Texas doesn't cheat.....

Does anyone have a stat for collective average ranking per conference?

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/bkc0910.htm
http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/bkc0809.htm

Power rankings for 10-11:
Big East
Big 10
Big 12
ACC
PAC 10
SEC

Power rankings for 09-10:
Big 12
ACC
Big East
Big 10
SEC
Pac 10

Power rankings for 08-09:
Big 10
Big 12
Pac 10
Big East
ACC
SEC

Scoring 6 pts for 1st, 5 for second, etc, cumulatively we get:

Big 12 - 15
Big Ten - 14
Big East - 13
ACC - 10
Pac 10 - 7
SEC - 4

So, I guess overall the Big XII has been the best conference the past 3 years. Thanks for clearing that up for me

Couldn't get the links to open. When were these rankings down? End of regular season? After NCAA tourney? What if you look at NCAA tourney wins and losses?

Look, any metric is limited. My ranking is subjectively based on what I see. I am prepared to concede that Big 12 BBall may be better than I thought and to be honest, i don't get to see them on TV much until March madness.

They were done after the tournament concluded, so they are true full season rankings.

SEC is King...no disputing that! - Agree

Washington Huskies are on the rise and will be a force within 2-3 seasons.- Payback time in Lincoln. Can't wait to get their myself.

UT owns A&M something like 75-36...sorry Ray - *Shrugs*

Michigan is rising fast, and the game vs tOSU should actually be a contest for the first time since 9/11. - UM is putting together a ridiculous signing class, and if half of them pan out, then I agree. Tip my hat to Hoke.

Notre Dame sucks, PERIOD!!! - It's tough to tell. They need to start scheduling tougher.

Heisman Watch IMO: Robinson, Lattimore, James, Richardson, other...most likely 'other' - If he stays healthy, I would put Justin Blackmon on that list. That guy is a freak.

USF could be a sleeper but Pitt likely Big-Least Champ - No TCU love?

UGA/Boise could be huge if Broncos win - Don't fail the rest of college football UGA. We need Boise to go away already.

VT looks like 12-0 is VERY possible and facing a fast rising FSU team to go to BCS NC! - OU gets through Tallahassee, I think the red carpet will be rolled out for them in the Champ game.

Big12 North is a joke! - North dead, so there is no joke.

Oklahoma versus VT in BCS Title game? - OU v Bama

Nebraska and Wisconsin in Big-Ten title - Nebraska will lose a stupid game somewhere along the line + tough schedule + playing 8 new teams they have never prepared for + weak OL = Iowa vs Wisc in BIG title game.

AL versus SC in SEC title? Winner to play OU or VT for the big prize? - I don't know, but SEC gonna be fun to watch this year.

You say we are losing all of our top players. Only 3 offensive starters are seniors, and only half of the defensive starters are. You lose your top QB, WR, and RB and half your defense. That is not something any team wants. The best they've done so far is win nothing in the big 12. Now you get to go to the SEC without them.

You are right, recruits will never come here. We have a top 10 class lined up right now for 2012. Even if we just get the normal recruits we have been, Sherman coaches them up. Your sips have a roster full of 4 and 5 stars, and we saw how well they played last season. Sherman coaches them up? Really? Sherman is currently 19-19 at A&M with one winning season. So far he can't claim to be any better than Fran, and we saw how that worked out for you. In contrast, Mack is 134-34 with only one losing season. All you ever do is refer to last season. If the most recent season is the only thing that matters, then Auburn wouldn't have won the MNC last season, and UT would have had 10 wins. Your argument is weak.

If we are so sorry and such an easy win, you'd think your administration wouldn't be acting like a bunch of pussies by trying to drop the game with us. Then again, our programs are going in different directions, and it isn't like they haven't shied away from the more difficult road in the past....

You're running away because you're tired of being little brother, and you're calling us pussies for not continuing to play you? If you want to cut ties and run, they you get to cut all ties. It's as simple as that. You are the school that is running. We are happy to play you if you stay in the Big 12, but if you want to end the relationship, you can end the relationship.

http://archives.starbulletin.com/2000/03/08/sports/story3.html

"The University of Texas confirmed yesterday that it had opted not to make the Sept. 2 trip, citing several factors, including financial."

Really? Claiming they are poor and can't afford the flight to Hawaii?

Really? Hawaii? There is no reason for us to ever want to play them.

Missed this gem. My responses are in bold.

I know I have been sarcastic with you, but are you kidding me with this response??? This is why everyone calls you out for being arrogant because you continually believe this drivel. No one runs from Texas out of fear. They run out of complete frustration with it being your way or no way. A&M finally had the balls to stop being little brother and stand up to Texas. According to Dodd's mouthpiece Chip Brown, Texas is the one who wants to cancel the relationship....not A$M. Texas is having the hissy fit because one of its cohorts isn't obeying. The good news is, I am hearing that Castiglione has finally taken his lips off the cow nipple to listen to his Alumni and maybe ....as Longhorn arrogance would suggest.....run away from the B12 too.

A&M was in agreement with Texas with regards to most of the moves by the Big 12 up until the start of the Longhorn network. Texas offered to make a joint network, but A&M refused because, according to your AD, a regional network like that couldn't work. Fast forward 10 months and Texas has 300 million reasons why a regional network will work along with its own brand being broadcast into recruit's households. Now A&M wants to claim that big bad Texas makes it their way or the high way. The network was announced a long time ago and there was no problem with it from anyone, including A&M, until it got off the ground. Now you throw a big hissy fit because your AD was wrong. You are no different from Nebraska running away out of envy that you don't have the success that we have nor do you have the brand that we have. You're cutting off your nose to spit your face, and it will be hilarious to watch you bleed out during your time spent getting abused in the SEC.

A&M was in agreement with Texas with regards to most of the moves by the Big 12 up until the start of the Longhorn network. True Texas offered to make a joint network completely not true , but A&M refused because, according to your AD, a regional network like that couldn't work. True because as we are witnessing right now, TLN is struggling to get off its own feet as we speak. If I were a Baylor, SMU or even an Aggie, I would be infuriated to know I had to pay an additional 40 cents a month to help the Longhorns to my cable provider. Add in the fact that the content for 168 hours a week will be all about the Longhorns. I don't care what team you root for, you will not be able to sell a network for one team with that minimal content. The loss of HS football games was a major blow as well. Fast forward 10 months and Texas has 300 million reasons why a regional network will work along with its own brand being broadcast into recruit's households. Will work? I agree they have 300 million reasons to watch money fall out of the sky and they had to do nothing to achieve it other then sign the dotted line. OU/A&M joint network wouldn't work because they have all the upstart fees, the hiring of people, and they would have had to fill the network with their own content. Texas, to their credit, has to do NOTHING but play the games. It is ESPN's responsibility to burden the costs of the network, ESPN's responsibilities to add content, and most importantly, pay Texas 20 million a year. Will it work though? Right now, it is failing, but the good news is, then BIG Network took a awhile to get off its feet too. Now A&M wants to claim that big bad Texas makes it their way or the high way. The network was announced a long time ago and there was no problem with it from anyone, including A&M, until it got off the ground. Yup. I think the problem was A: they knew it wasn't financially feasible to do it themselves, B: High School games were going to be played on TLN (which is only being stopped for a year until the NCAA pulls their heads out of their ass), C: They were only going to have one televised football game on TLN, until ESPN realized what a mess they had with TLN, and were able to work a deal with FOX to add another game which would have to be a conference game. The question is, where does it stop in regards to this? Now you throw a big hissy fit because your AD was wrong. I am throwing no hissy fit, I am laughing actually, because I get to see the ISU, KSU, and KU pray for a life line after they sold their souls to Texas. I couldn't be happier where we are now. You are no different from Nebraska running away out of envy that you don't have the success that we have nor do you have the brand that we have. I don't know what you speak of. You make fun of Ray for only speaking recently, but last I checked, NU had more NC then UT does and we don't sit smack dab in the middle of the best HS athletes every year. You're cutting off your nose to spit your face, and it will be hilarious to watch you bleed out during your time spent getting abused in the SEC. Oh I see, you think I am a Aggie fan.....no I feel sorry for them, because the referees will job them on their way out the door to freedom.

Walt Anderson and the crew that night made the correct call. You're upset because they corrected an a bad call? Also I'm pretty sure Walt Anderson didn't kick that field goal...next?

And slightly confused, did Walt influence all the games Nebraska lost to UT since 2006...next?
