Chicago Mad Dogg @ Red Dirt Wranglers: Chicago heads to Red Earth this week to face RDW. While both teams are 3-3 on the season, this game won't be as close as the final score will indicate. Chicago has the league second easiest SOS behind Mustang Nation (no I am not going to capitalize your name in any write up I do....), while RDW is tied for the 4th highest. Despite the 3-3 record, RDW's score differential is a whopping +180 (mostly due to the 167-0 win over Detroit, but still), while Chicago is actually NEGATIVE 25. I expect RDW to pound the ball on the ground considering the #1 and #3 offensive players are RDW's RB tandem of Long Way to Go Short Time to Get There and Gator MacKlusky. I'm not sure what Chicago's offensive strategy will be considering RDW's #1 ranked passing defense and their #19 ranked rushing offense. I expect Chicago to hold RDW's to a low score, but I don't see them score a TD unless its a fluke or simscrew. Predicted Score: 17-0 RDW.

Rising Brownies @ Rome Renegades: Familiar foes match-up in Week 7 in a repeat of last season's Competitive #2's conference championship game as Rising travels into the Forum to face the Renegades. However, in the off-season, two of Rome's WRs betrayed their former team and signed with the Brownies. Terry can tell you about their talent as Rome Outcast scored a 67 yard OT TD to beat the Nightmares back in week 3. Rome's real weakness is their secondary as they currently rank DEAD LAST in passing defense and Rising will look to take advantage of that with their 6th ranked passing offense. I would expect a big day from Tim Hortons. I think these two teams will score more points than expected, but the real deciding factor will be on STs. Rising ranks 28th, 22th, and 13th in kick return, punt return, and punting respectively, while Rome ranks 5th, 4th, and 2nd. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was decided in the 5th quarter. Home field advantage doesn't hurt either as nachos will be given away. Predicted Score: 28-24 Rome.

Nerd Herd Gators @ ReDisturbed: The NHG travel to The Insane Circus Dome for a match-up with ReDisturbed that could potentially determine which team gets to play a home game in the playoffs (and get those coveted nachos). Interestingly, NHG have a player in the top 5 in Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP, and ST MVP. There are always 2 big questions when you face NHG: can you stop the run and can you stop Aiden Law (4th in the ST MVP race)? Rome's rushing attack (similar to NHG in the fact that they have rushing QBs) fared well against ReDisturbed averaging 5.3 yards/carry despite their 6th ranked rushing defense. I expect the Gators to put up some points on this D that's only allowed 2 TDs this season (both to Rome, but in a winning effort). The Gators do have a big win this season over last season's champs Mustang Nation, but suffered a set-back against Hawaiian two weeks ago. Both teams have a +3 TO ratio and will look to capitalize on their opponents mistakes. I expect this game to also come down to the final possession. Predicted Score: Aiden goes for the games only TD as NHG upset ReDisturbed 13-9.

Mustang Nation Touchy Fillies (no you don't get the stupid quotes either) @ Rocky Mountain Oysters (yes Oysters not Outlaws): In my opinion, this week best game features horses and oysters. The Fillies, who are first in the conference in points scored (no they haven't even played Detroit yet), face off against their toughest defensive opponent yet in Rocky Mountain, who is first in the conference in points allowed. Rocky Mountain only gives up a meager 6 points per game, but I expect that number to increase after this week considering the Fillies are averaging over 50. Quick side note, does anybody else find it ridiculous that Endover End is 4th in the offensive MVP and 5th in the ST MVP race? Seriously Bort, we have 2 kickers in the top 10 in offensive MVP? Anyway, back to the game. The leagues top two ST MVP candidates face off against each other and could potentially swing this game one way or the other. I believe that Mustang Nation provides many match-up problems for Rocky Mountain. Rocky Mountain's defensive weakness, passing (20th), is the Fillies strength (4th) and the Fillies defensive strength, passing (6th), happens to be Rocky Mountain's strength (3rd). Predicted Score: Mustang Nation "neigh"rowly gets the win in a surprisingly high scoring game 28-27.

Oh I should state this too. I'm going to be in Vegas until late Sunday so I won't be able to pay the winner until Monday.

Stop at Casears sports book. Pig out on the best buffet in Vegas, right next to the book. Then wander over there and put $50 on the Brownies (the real ones) to beat the over/under win total for 2011-12 (last time I looked it was 5.
Make sure you have dinner at the BOA Steakhouse on the strip. The Kobe steak and goat cheese baklava are awesome.
If you prefer italian, definitely go with Battistas Hole in the Wall (it's right on the strip near Bally's). It's one of the oldest places in Vegas, and their walls have all kinds of pics of Sinatra and celebrities eating there.
