The final 4. I don't think anyone is surprised to see these 4 teams left after the seasons they all put together. Every team left has at least one loss so that shows you they are all vulnerable and can all lose this game. I wasn't perfect at (3-1) last time, but will give it another go none the less.
ALPHA
#Lampang Lionfish (15-3) @ #1 Operation Dot Ball (15-1)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=3528&team2=676
RSM - (21-20) ODB
Highlights> This game came down to the 4th quarter with ODB scoring 2 TD's and then holding on to put down the Lionfish. Yards were pretty even, there were no turnovers. Just good clean dotball with ODB edging out Lampang.
How they got here > First ODB slapped #8 SAPL (42-13), then they controlled the #4 Boys (19-3). Lampang put the #6 Legends in the garage (41-14), then beat a very solid #2 Guyana (23-17)
Thoughts on the match-up> This is two heavy weights that kill each other with kindness on the forums. They would probably both kneel the ball and take a tie if it was possible saying 'No, you win", "Oh no no, you win", " oh no, I insist, you win" BLAH! These are two Champions with solid offenses and solid defenses. Can ODB beat Lampang 3 times in one season? You can pisk this one either way cause both are top class teams.
Prediction> Lampang goes out with a win against the rival (27-21) Lionfish
ZETA
#2 Port Harcourt Playmakers (16-2) @ #1 Steel City Mafia (17-1)
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=5799&team2=5149
RSM - (22-0) SCM
Highlights> In a game seemingly owned by the Mafia, looks can be deceiving. Playmakers lost the turnover battle 3-1 giving the Mafia good field position. And SCM seemed to get lucky on a number of occasions.
How they got here > Playmakers edged out the #7 Bulldogs (24-21), then routed the #3 Space Cakes (45-23). SCM walked thru the #8 University (55-7), then shut down the #5 Great Whites (27-3)
Thoughts on the match-up> Port has some top quality agents and finished with a top quality defense. So does SCM. The difference lies in the offense, while the Playmakers are a pass heavy offense that can run the ball, SCM is a run heavy offense that can pass the ball. Who's is better? Who knows. This game will probably come down to a big turnover or a ST's TD by one side or the other.
Prediction > Too close to tell and I don't want to jynx my team by picking us. (You tell me)
A meaningful congratulations goes out to all four of these teams and all four are worthy champions though only two will play for the title. These where the four best teams IMO (no disrespect to the rest) at the start of the season, so good luck to all four cause you could sim these many different times and end up with many different outcomes. As gRryNn would say "Any given Sim day"
