Yeah, definitely some brutal games. I hate moral victories but I'm pretty pleased we didn't get blown out in any of those games.

If we can somehow survive to this off-season still in the Pro League recruiting should be easier in the off-season and we can focus on competing next season.

Were the Longhorns a different team last year? We may see our highest line ever. As an OU alumnus, I must say that I don't mind the Longhorns struggling. Practically the entire Tongan team are transplanted Sooners. Onward to week 8... and the halfway point (for the UT fans, that's 16 x 50% = 8).

Phew. We just barely made that 25-point spread.

The Longhorns were Vincennes Vampires.

How the spreads did...

Las Vegas Outlaws -116 @ Buen Retiro Longhorns +116 - Outlaws win by 153. Getting closer.

Wagga Wagga Fighting Squirrels -61 @ Hollywood Decepticons +61 - Wagga Wagga wins by 54. Off by 7. Not too shabby.

FFLW Caninites -57 @ Kiribati Blitz +57 - Nites win by 85. The blowouts are hard to project. Oh well.

Outback Astronauts +43 @ IC Incinerators -43 - IC wins by 53. Off by 10!

Big Island Growas +32 @ Nauru Tiger Sharks -32 - Big Island wins by 3. I am surprised by the outcome of this game, but not by the fact that Nauru didn't blow out the Growas.

Tongan Crimson Auha -30 @ Great Barrier Reef Sharks +30 - Tongan wins by 57. Off by 27.

Rawle Tech Titans -28 @ Bermuda Pirates +28 - RT wins by 49. Doh!

FFLivewire Cans -27 @ Saipan Fighters +27 - Cans win by 79. Ouch.

Brisbane Gods +25 @ The U Canes -25 - Gods win by 1. As mentioned earlier, I didn't expect this spread to be close.

Speightstown +22 @ Newcastle Bearcats -22 - Bearcats win by 29. Close enough for me!

Canberra Strike -21 @ West Scranton Invaders +21 - Canberra wins by 17. Nearly spot on!

Emerald City Flying Monkeys +18 @ Brantford Mustangs -18 - Brantford wins by 13. Nearly spot on!

Aussie Cardinals -11 @ Dogdandy Enforcers +11 - Aussie wins by 10. Nearly spot on!

Auckland Flames -4 @ Tasmania Devils +4 - Tasmania wins by 23. Wow. Way off.

Perth Scorpions +2 @ Brisbane Bandits -2 - Perth wins by 4. Wrong team was favored, but I was still off by only 6.

Fiji Sea Turtles +2 @ New England Burning Pride -2 - Fiji wins by 9. Picked the wrong favorite, but the numbers were not too bad.
