Yeah I'd love to figure out a way to add some sort of weighting to games...but that would all be subjective anyways.
What weight does a regular season game have? What about week 16 when it's for a playoff spot in WL? What about week 16 when it's for nothing and you play that team again round 1 of the playoffs, no matter what?
What's weighted more - week 8 of the regular season in OPL or top 8 of the Real Thing tournament?

Every team cares different amounts about different games. About all we can be sure of is that the playoffs are pretty damn important. Except for the Pro Gold games, a lot of teams take that game a lot more lightly after locking up a WL spot. Exceptions to everything...

I would simply do a 1 for regular ranked scrims/tourney games, 2 for regular season and 4 for playoff games weighting. It's really that simple. You could do more for tourney games, especially final 8 or whatever, but from a script perspective that seems like a pain in the ass. You may have to do that manually.

Moose Jaw? They made playoffs, and had a winning record vs top 25...but had two losses to top 50 and one loss outside top 50.
HHWC? Had a losing record vs top 25.
Jebs? Also didn't make playoffs. Lincoln? loss outside the top 25, poor overall winning %. Alpine? Loss outside the top 50.

There weren't very many superlative performances by any team - there were a lot of teams that were capable of beating each other and most teams had losses to teams not in the running for the top 10. Blaze did go undefeated in the Real Thing tournament, with some pretty good teams to beat the whole way through (including getting a win on Paris, who beat them in the GLB tournament).

Agreeded but they also had a lot more losses than other teams behind them as well. What's worse Losing 2 or 3 games to a top 50 or 10 to the top 25? Not knocking your effort or anything it just seems like to me that Blaze is being rated very highly for the amount of losses to top 25 teams. I mean 10 wins and 10 losses plus not making the playoffs. That would be like saying a team that did not make the playoffs in the NFL was better than all the division winners in the NFL based on your rankings.

I don't think you realize how enormous the talent gap is between the top25 teams and the top50 teams

Everyone in WL had a lot of losses, or they just didn't scrim much (if at all). No bad losses and a lot of losses to the very top is way better than only a few losses, but a BAD loss. NCAA Basketball tournament often looks at it that way - how many losses...how many BAD losses. And how many good wins?

Go ahead, make a top 10 list - you'd be surprised at how easy it is to say any particular team you put in the 3-4-5-6 slot doesn't deserve to be there.

blaze lost a few league games because our chem was horrible and we made 0 changes and we had no oc or dc... But we are still one of the hardest teams to beat in scrimmages since it doesn't count chem which makes our ranking sky rocket

When nobody gameplans, talent generally overcomes. Blaze will win that race against most teams in GLB.

chargers and Raiders and Buccs missed the playoffs

at least 1 of them is a top 16 team in the league
