Another round down and another couple of surprises. Many of you are thinking, at least this guy can win games better than he can predict, or at least that's what I am telling myself to feel better. But regardless of that, you should at least learn one thing about playoff games in an Elite league is whether it be #2 or #1, is that these teams can not be taken lightly and as gRryNn says "Any given sim day" one can and will beat you. I am not discouraged from my poor predictions or the errors that I carelessly make so kindly pointed out by Warhawk, maybe if he'd paid attention to his game planning and less to my error's they'd still be playing, oohhh, just playing buddy On with the reviews.

ALPHA

#7 Kung Fu Island Er's (12-6) @ #1 Steel City Mafia (17-1)

RSM - (45-0) SCM
Highlights> There isn't a whole lot of positives you can get from the first match-up for Kung Fu. SCM owned them from the start till it was over. Kung Fu was only shut out one time this season and this was it. They didn't even break 100 total yards and SCM held the ball for almost 45 minutes.

How they got to this point> Kung Fu continues to surprise everyone, except themselves I'm sure. Were they just playing possum during the regular season? First they ousted #2 Sterling (23-13) by winning the turnover battle. Then they bested the #3 White Tigers (38-24) on the strength of a PR for a TD and an INT return for a TD. O MVP Cruz did what it could with 89 yards and a TD for the Tigers but it wasn't enough to overcome the two big scores. SCM had to claw their way from behind the #8 Whores trailing at halftime to win (31-24). Then they got the Goblin off their back even with allowing the ST MVP Toe 2 PR for TD's. SCM gained almost 400 yards while allowing less than 100 in a nail biter (20-14). D MVP Greene_ had 8 tackles, 2 sacks, only 1 hurry, but 3 TFL.

Thoughts on the match-up> Fortune is certainly on Kung Fu's side. The win over Sterling was not as surprising as the win over the Tigers if you go by the regular season games. But Kung Fu is proving that all you have to do is make the dance and anything is possible. SCM has proven that it's ST's are a weak spot and Kung Fu has proven they are dangerous in that area. SCM is certain to not take the Er's lightly given what they have done so far, but will SCM allow the types of plays you can't count on in a game. You certainly can't plan on when or if a ST TD or turnover is gunna happen. I'm sure both teams will try to control the clock and try to not allow the big play. Either way it's sure to be closer than the regular season.

Prediction> Whoever allows the least amount of big plays wins this game. <You tell me what you think the score will be>

ZETA

#4 Cape Town Great Whites (15-3) @ #2 Lake Opeta Legionnaires (16-2)

RSM - (35-7) Great Whites
Highlights> Opeta may sport the #1 rughing attack, but they were shut down and couldn't stop much of anything as the Whites ran and threw on them with great efficiency. Marred by penalties Opeta was just flat out played as they were out gained 422-274. No penalties or ST's splashes so this was just a solid victory by the Great Whites.

How they got to this point> Cape Town laid a smack down on the #5 Killa Bee's (79-13) in which the score speaks for it's self. Then in the second round upset the #1 seed ECKO BLACK (31-10) totally shutting down the BLACK's run game, holding them to negative yards. The Great Whites run game wasn't flashy but it was just enough to go with their passing game to control the clock and run out ECKO's chance at gold. Lake Opeta barely squeeked out a win against the #7 Knights, jumping out to an early lead then hanging on to win (21-17). That game wasn't close enough for them so they made it even closer against the #6 Beers, again jumping out to an early 14-0 lead then hanging on for dear life to win (14-13), in a game they owned the TOP almost 2 to 1.

Thoughts on the match-up> I don't know what happened starting game #7, but a light went on, or a fire was started under the coordinators ass, but Cape Town has just been blasting teams for 12 weeks now. They can stop the run and use their efficient run game to set up their very dangerous pass game. But the Legionnaires can run the ball and stop the pass, but they failed to do that in the first meeting. If they can't put Cape Town away I don't think they can hold on for one more game like they have been doing. The Great Whites have been unstoppable. The thing with holding onto a lead is you have to get the lead to begin with and Cape Town just hasn't let teams do that. Lake Opeta has barely beaten 2 teams with .500 records and Cape Town is far from a .500 team.

Prediction> The Great Whites are no average team and the Legionnaires will find that out in a closer game than the first time they met, but still not enough <35-14>

Congratulations to all 4 teams to make it this far, the winners of these two games will get themselves some bling bling. As we've seen, it's no easy task to make it this far as many very solid teams have been eliminated up to this point. Good luck to all.

I am a painfully slow typer, and it takes me forever to write this. I may do one for the gold game, but honestly I haven't been paying too much attention to #1, only what you guys post on here

GG Steel City. Close, low scoring game.

Those ST TD's and the lost fumble killed us. We had some luck with that in earlier rounds, so I guess it was about time it went the other way. Good luck in the final!
