I suppose.

But really they needed to either make this change OR make it so you get XP on the day 40 to day 41 rollover so that it would be part of the season (XP wise).

They chose the change that screws less people over and honestly probably makes it easier so you dont change when XP is given.

EDIT: or they could have made the change that EVERY player aged 1 day from the "season rollover" so that day 40-48 would all be the same and you'd have to create all dots on day -8.

This makes no sense. Day 40 is during the season; Day 41 is the off-season. Those should not be the same.

Strange things they decide on in this game.

They tried to fix a problem. Players should age when they get XP. The fact that day 40 XP is given at 1AM on the 40 day is the problem. If XP happened at 11:59PM than it would not be a problem.

Yes this is another bandaid, but it was needed. Players should not be 39 days old after one whole season either.

When agents were creating dots day 40 there was no reason not to do it. No one could see the future and that is why other exceptions have been made ie. extra boosts.

I have a few dots in this problem, here's the issue. 2 Training Points. Really that's the only thing that divides a day 40 player and a day 41 player, 2 Training Points and because of those 2 Training Points, you're going to rip teams down the middle?

I understand people who created on day 41 aren't having this problem and I appreciate that; however, prior to last season, age really didn't matter... now it's the only thing that matters... (level means almost nothing now). So while I understand your plight I disagree with it being just a "caving to the whiners" and more a practical solution to a very difficult issue.

How could the difference between a day 40 dot and a day 41 dot "rip teams down the middle"? 39 days and 40 days land in the same cap.

Look at it from the GLB standpoint.

By allowing Day 40 to be equal in age to Day 41 (or even Day 46, for that matter), it makes Day 40 the optimum day to build to fully maximize training.

But your old player will most likely not be released from their teams until Day 41 in order for them to retire.

If you need the flex to build on Day 40, it may just prompt you to buy the flex to build them.

Most people would not. But any that do will be more money for GLB.

I will still build on day 41 as things can always change again in the future - lol

Gamewise this is just a cosmetic change. It has no longterm effect on players whatsoever. Day 40 dots, while being one day older, still suffered decline at relatively the same time as a day 41 guy, being what, day 7 instead of day 8 in season 15? People were wrongly worried that day 40 players would ruin championship games with decline.

Ugh, no. Day 40 dots get xp on rollover from Day 0 to Day 1. Day 41 dots do not. That's where the discrepancy in age comes in, and it is already doing exactly what you request by awarding a day of age for every day that you receive experience points. It was not a problem, because Day 40 dots could already play in the same age-based leagues as Day 41 dots. I hate to agree with ITS, but he's correct that GLB caved to a bunch of confused whiners instead of just being clear about creation dates and consequences, which is pretty standard for their long history of communication problems.

Again, this is not complicated. Day 40 is still part of the season, while Day 41 is not. Repeat that to yourself over and over and over again until it sinks in.

Again, no. I and many others warned people repeatedly that they should create on Day 41 because that has always been the first day of the off-season. Anyone who created on Day 39 or Day 40 or whatever else was always doing so at their own risk. Then again, it's not like you should even need my help to understand that Day 41 is the first day of the off-season. It's self-evident.

I think you are wrong here. XP and aging were not the same. I have always had my day 41 guys get XP on that first day. Check out your Season 19 guys. I bet they got XP 11-20-2010 which was the first nightly XP. Count any of your dots first season. They have 40 nightly XP, but were 39 days old

There is no XP advantage from day 40 to day 41. There was also not a boosting dissadvantage since a dot created day 40 was 40 days old after a season and a dot created day 41 was 39 days old after the season. Aging has always been fucked up. A dot that gets 40 nightly XP should not be 39 days old.

I don't even Bort and CO realized what was going on. Ten full season should have been 399 days, but it was not.

When does my player begin aging?

Players begin the aging process when they reach 400 days old, a full ten seasons.

day 41 is still season 19, so those dots should be season 19 IMO. You have to draw a line somewhere and it was logical to think that since there was no XP and dots were 40 days after a full season that day 40 creation was OK. Day 40 could still join pee wee where day 39 could not.

I assumed that it would be, because the only way that it makes sense to do this is as a nod to all the people who created their dots on day 40 to squeeze the last 2 training points out of the process when there was no real difference of being 0 or 1 days old at the beginning of their first real season, now that the whole league structure has been changed and there is now a huge difference.

If it's just going forward, and not retroactive, then it's just dumb, because once you announce changes in the way things should be done, people can just do them, yeah? Am I missing something?

(full disclosure: I don't have any dots this would effect, just dots that I'm looking at recruiting, and need to know if they'll be 39 or 40 days old at the end of the year, etc.)

Looking for an answer to this as well. I have several good day 40 players on my team that I would hate to have to cut.

Would players created on day 40 still get to boost before day 41 and still play in the same league as them?

So what is it best to do now with new players? Day 40 or 41 or what?
