Does this mean you can create on day 40, sign to a team and get some XP that day, boost 3x at the end of the season, get more XP on day 39 of your last season before plateau when you are 399 days old, and then still boost 3x in the final preseason before extended plateau (at 440 days old)?

Why not? Which part of that is incorrect?

im not entirely sure but if you create on day 40, you wouldn't get any XP as it rolls over into day 41...regardless if you play a game or not on day 40

I'm talking about game XP, not rollover XP.

It's now best to create day 40, boost x3.

Oh, right.

why you say that?

Day 40 or 41 create would both be zero days old at end of season?

Looks like they caved to the whiners once again.

This makes no sense. Day 40 is during the season; Day 41 is the off-season. Those should not be the same.

I have a few dots in this problem, here's the issue. 2 Training Points. Really that's the only thing that divides a day 40 player and a day 41 player, 2 Training Points and because of those 2 Training Points, you're going to rip teams down the middle?

I understand people who created on day 41 aren't having this problem and I appreciate that; however, prior to last season, age really didn't matter... now it's the only thing that matters... (level means almost nothing now). So while I understand your plight I disagree with it being just a "caving to the whiners" and more a practical solution to a very difficult issue.

My question is: is this going to be applied retroactively, or not? I assumed that it would be, because the only way that it makes sense to do this is as a nod to all the people who created their dots on day 40 to squeeze the last 2 training points out of the process when there was no real difference of being 0 or 1 days old at the beginning of their first real season, now that the whole league structure has been changed and there is now a huge difference.

If it's just going forward, and not retroactive, then it's just dumb, because once you announce changes in the way things should be done, people can just do them, yeah? Am I missing something?

(full disclosure: I don't have any dots this would effect, just dots that I'm looking at recruiting, and need to know if they'll be 39 or 40 days old at the end of the year, etc.)
