I don't think you guys are understanding. That team might have CPU players, but they have a solid defense and offense AI/Packages set up running from last season when they lost in the conf title game of there league. I watched a few plays of that Game, Team Cal vs Hotties Pride. You can tell hotties have a weak def/off (no offense meant). This is my team on day 1 of this season against a full CPU roster. http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1484162

having great ai's and packs is one thing, but to have them run that well with cpu players is another. Thats what im saying. I dont dispute the ability to set up plays and packages. What Im saying is should a team built up of cpus be that strong when being ran by a player built ai?

no, it shouldnt.

Before you tag the players for the outcome, check the team's homepage out and you'll see that both teams are human CONTROLED, not CPU. Since this is PeeWee leagues, a lvl 1 player is a lvl 1 player... human OR CPU. Are the human players better in the long run? Yeah. But at season's start you're as close to a level playing field as you can get AND if you have a HUMAN setting up AI's and gameplans for their CPU players, then it's WAY more than a "little likely" that a team of CPU dots can whup a team of human dots. Later in the season, those teams will still put up a fight, but be too outclassed by player builds and gains to win even WITH a great gameplan. Ever since Bort beefed up the quality of CPU players, you can no longer take them for granted.

So, your not okay with a person who is a much better coach than you getting a win even with CPU players over you?

sounds like to me.

It looks to me like the CPUs are better than the humans at level 1, doesn't that seem a bit silly to you? Of course if they were pretty much the same then the better coached team should win. I think CPUs being as good as humans at ay level is ridiculous, but since it's only level 1 I guess it's not a huge deal.

They aren't nearly as good as human players... the way CPU points are calculated makes it where they should absolutely never be better than an equal level human player...

You lost to AIs not to players... there players were much worse... but you still lost... because you got out coached...

end of story.

If they wern't nearly as good, games like this http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1480066 wouldn't happen. I don't doubt that the AI of the winning team was better, but they still won with 40 CPUs againt 53 humans. Luckily, that one week doesn't really matter, especially in Silver.

I know it doesn't seem possible but what you do as an OC, DC, STcoach, and the use and setup of your lineups and depth charts, makes a HUGE differance between teams... even more so than the simple dots. You're totally correct that CPU players are NOT the equal of human ones... but human dots can AND WILL lose quite often to CPU teams whose HUMAN coaches have a better AI setup than than HUMAN teams that are not as well versed in the AI works. I have seen this repeatedly over many season and the new and improved CPU players make it even more likely to happen.
This post is not here to dis your team or it's coaches, but Stoner is right as far as his final line speaks... their AI's were better which is why they won. Don't get mad, just do all you can to learn everything from the loss. Scout every play. Watch every formation... how the players react... who they cover... where they blitz... everything counts. Know your enemy and learn from what they do. It's why, after several seasons in GLB, I still do not own, nor feel ready to own, a team. I have more to learn and good people to help me along the way.

Nice post, I think you're right. It's not actually my team that lost, although my team probably would have lost too.

I wasn't trying to insult you, I had a close friend show me how to play the game... if it weren't for that I'd probably still be adjusting my offense by increasing my pass % by 5 in basic tactics, the point is... AI means everything in peewee... particularly at the lower levels.

True... but a common mistake some dudes make is when they scout a team, they see CPU players and automatically assume it's a "CPU" team. Always check the homepage to see if there's a owner and/or coaches cuz lots of owners out there take a season off player-wise (don't hire regulars), but still run their AI's full tilt. And some even hire a few "ringers" (or create their own) for stat hogging. (you see that much less down here at PeeWee leagues, but it does happen.)
