Nonboosters will be fine, they'll avoid competitive and elite leagues and play each other in the 'regular' leagues.

Don't take your ball and go home because you won't be able to dominate the paying people in the mid caps anymore.

agree with this. Non boosters will be sorted with others like them, and will have to play like minded teams, instead of having the advantage of being seasons older than the boosters.

So, to play devils advocate, in the long run, when more tiers exist to advance through, this change shouldn't be as hard on boosters as some people seem to think it will, and teams will be much more likely to face similar teams in both age and effective level, correct?

In other words, before deciding to :ragequit: over what they think this change might result in, they should wait and see what actual results of this change will bring.

That is precisely correct. That being said, it will always be possible for boosting players and non-boosting players to end up in the same leagues together regardless of how many tiers there are... it'll just be less likely as time goes on.

just a reminder for the non-boosters, a non-boost dot is the equivalent of a free trial of the game and you should not expect to reach the highest levels of any game that is free. The fact that they can retire and play for free indefinitely, in now what will be competative leagues, still makes a non-boosting dot the best free trial of any online game I've ever played.

I personally was on multi boosting teams that just threw in the towel in the capped leagues because they didn't want to fight SSB'ers and Non-boosters for a year and half before getting up to the top. I saw at least 150 boosting dots from guys I know (including me) just retired because they sucked

Great move, and about time.

Just because you sucked at building players compared to others doesn't mean there was anything wrong. What you want would really destroy GLB, and that's everyone having the same build so we can all play fair blah blah blah.

Admin should also consider giving major incentives to teams to retain incumbent players, as well.

As it is there are 8 seasons of caps before dumping into the "Uncaps". Instead of Elite/competitive, and regular, please make it pyramid style.

Pros:

Rivalries will become stronger, due to seeing all other teams as being between you and the top.

Competition, because you are moved based solely, on your combined factor performance, Builds/Tactics competition will be epic.

Sense of community, and ownership of your place in the scheme of things. If you are at the top you deserve to be there, if you are at the bottom, same thing, and everywhere in between.

There are no cons to the pyramid style age based league. The only difference that would need to be made is to double the rate of promotion demotion.

I'll give you 100% of your creation cost back when you retire them. Sounds like a good deal.

Catch, please don't let Bort cater to the whiners on this one. This is good for them, but they are just to raged to realize it yet. Please stick to your guns, this is a great change that will be good for EVERYONE

WRONG....this change is being made BECAUSE Bort is catering to the whiners and crybabies who think everyone should play/pay exactly like they do.
I am done spending money on this game because of all the catering to the whiners and crybabies.

We're actually working on a team points incentive program that will provide incentives to teams for their performance. Are going to try and roll it out with this league structure. I forgot to mention that in the announcement, thanks for the reminder, will go add it.

You can create players on 5 consecutive days and they can play together.

Create on day 31 - 10 days old at season end
Create on day 32 - 9 days old at season end
Create on day 33 - 8 days old at season end
Create on day 34 - 7 days old at season end
Create on day 35 - 6 days old at season end

All of those players would go into the Min Age 1 Max Age 40 league

Create in the offseason:

Create on day 41 - 0 days old on season rollover
Create on day 42 - 0 days old on season rollover
Create on day 43 - 0 days old on season rollover
etc etc

All of those players would go into the Min Age 0 Max Age 0 league

Okay, maybe I didn't understand part of it. So anyone created in the same season would always be able to play together.. but if I made a guy S1, and a guy S2, they wouldn't be able to play together? That's a little strict, but que sera sera.

I would think we're more concerned about a substantial age difference, but it's not like I'm against a full balance. It might make recruiting harder for some age caps, but as long as it's balanced, that's the main thing.

Well your just ignorant. This isn't the old days of GLB. Non Boosters pay now. I guess I got my 53 players and two teams by never paying. I also have 3 boosters but I enjoy having many players without breaking the bank with just a couple. I know most members of League Underground pay for this game but don't boost. I know guys that have 100+ players that don't boost but I guess there not paying people also. Most all non boosting team owners don't want to dominate there league that is why we founded League Underground for competition. I do not want to win 100-0, that is boring. But just like anybody else I don't want to lose 100-0 either. I would be happy losing every game as long as they were competitive. Seriously when we are level 36-40 and going against levels 65+ what do you think the scores will be. How is it fun watching your offensive players continuously go three and out. You can come off the pedestal now your not that important because you boost. We all put money into this game. But the few that bitch are the ones that are heard, that is the GLB way.

so a 320 day old level 36 non-booster must now play in a league with level 60+ players that are the same age

yeah finally the non-boosters can see what it feels like to be out leveled lets see them talk smack now lol.

You knew it was going to happen. They want your money, nothing else.
