Don't hire shitty people. Also, how would you track? Via alerts or something? I have 216 alerts in my inbox that I don't plan on reading or deleting out of laziness, so please don't flood me.

how long ago were alerts in the inbox?

I don't really see why this wouldn't be a good addition. I'd rather there be some accountability for what people do. There have been times in the past where, while being a GM, the depth chart just "randomly" gets wiped/changed and no one will admit to doing it. Or the AI will change because someone was looking at something and didn't set it back.

Only reason i can see people being against this is that either they think there is going to be a 4000 page long change log on each team or they are doing something they don't want others know they're doing and this would reveal it.

We're playing a game with anonymous people across the world. Someone may seem like a trustworthy person and they do well but there is little to stop them from sabotaging a team for whatever reason and never really get caught unless you only have 2 GM's on a team.

Don't really see how this would help. Things like loans can only done by the owner already. No sense giving stadium building privs to anyone but the guy you want to build the stadium, such as the CFO... so its easy to already track that. Same with contract renegotiations and player cuts. Don't give every GM on your staff powers to do everything and you should be fine.

#7 and #8 are way overkill

#1,2,4-6 should only be given to people you trust completely.

#3 is the only one that even kinda makes sense...but same as others have said. Get some accountability within your GMs imo.

Agreed i limit people i trust in certain GM spots. Like if i have a DC hes only going to have access for Defence and The Depth Chart. Same with OC only the Offence and Depth Chart.

Very easy. When it comes to cutting players i don't trust anybody with that. If they think someone should be release they know how to contact me.

I have been trying for season after season ( since season 4ish ) to get this feature added for owners, which is essentially that the following GM actions would be tracked.

1) Player cuts.
2) Player contract renegotiations.
3) Player contract sent, maybe just signed - dunno.
4) Trades.
5) Major stadium changes, i.e. adding / removing sections for construction, building seats, ect.
6) Loan activity.
7) Gameplan AI "activated " for game. Tracking all saved "modification" actions might be too much.
8) Scout notes saved/submitted.

For those GLBs that are little long in the tooth, we all know how unscrupulous some GMs can be. This would be a way to hold them accountable to justify their GM role and to take a lot of mystery out of the proverbial "Who changed XX without telling anyone or consulting with management?"

My name is Norsemanvike and I support this message.

This would be nice... if it told the whole story. But it never does. Sure it will pinpoint those agents that continuously get added then dump a bunch of players, or purposefully screw over a stadium being built, but it will also lead to a bunch of people being turned down for GM offers for non-viable reasons. A GM comes to a team and cleans house (with owner approval) then is let go for some reason. I've had that happen. Or a GM that is helping a crappy team sign slightly better players instead of his normal cream of the crop type players. I've been there too. There is just not enough to be said in numbers and transactions alone. A per owner rating system (with a small, say 255 character limit, notes section would be immensely more appropriate. -1

My understanding was that this information would only be viewable and applicable to the specific team. An owner would have the ability to see what was done to HIS team and by whom, but not for other teams.

Am I misunderstanding this?

I'm +1 on this.

And I'm mystified why so many people are against it.

If you're an owner, don't you want to be able to know what your GMs are doing to your team?

If you're an owner who trusts your GMs and you don't want care what they do, great: don't click on the little GM Action Log tab. Problem solved.

And if you're a GM and you don't want an owner to know what you're doing to his team... well, you ARE the problem we're trying to solve, so fuck you.

Make it so. /picard

I'm still -1 on this. Not because I'm necessarily against it. I just don't see the point of it and would rather see GLB's apparently limited creative resources be focused elsewhere not to mention one less tab that loads on my page. There are plenty of ways to keep track of changes to your team already just using common sense as mentioned by myself and others here.

The only part I saw of being remotely useful was a possible variance to #3. And that has already been suggested in the past here.
