No joke bro. I made my team just to try out different defensive strategies after being away from the game for over a year. Come to find out a great built player from 14 months ago, does NOT equal the same now.
It is killing me that I have to wait over a month to start over and try again to figure the builds/strategies out.

Yea i have making my own defense for a couple seasons its ok, but no where near like Texas has ... I need to figure out more on how to plan multiple focuses I cant seem to figure it out.

I am pretty sure Texas uses tags, which my Season 8 brain still doesn't understand. And they benefit from having several seasons of pee-wee experience, so they know how to make players that are effective even at level 1.
I was making mine just off a hunch of trying to make a 34 defense, but my defense has evolved into more of a 43 so my players aren't build right. Not to mention the vast difference in talent throughout my players.

Well, with a 3-4 def the linebackers make all the difference. Atleast in real life, don't know about the sim.

In real life, I think the 34 relies a lot more on the linemen than it does the backers. Each linemen has a two gap responsibility, with the NT sometimes having three. What I ment by the linebackers being the difference I ment in the fact that any of the 4 backer will blitz and/or play coverage. Because of that it makes the offensive line conffused at times because they don't know who, other than the three linemen are coming. What I ment by the linebackers being the difference I ment in the fact that any of the 4 backer will blitz and/or play coverage. Yea, I boosted my guys early because I made 35 players and didn't want to deal with the eq -training-talents- of all 35 guys at the same time later in the season.

for the record, that was for TEXAS and Team CALIFORNIA because I knew y'all were playing and were obviously the two best teams.
I boosted after week 4 and only because I'm not planning on beating anyone once they get in the playoffs either way. This whole season was a re welcoming season for me, just trying to get used to how it is now.

for the record, that was for TEXAS and Team CALIFORNIA because I knew y'all were playing and were obviously the two best teams.
I boosted after week 4 and only because I'm not planning on beating anyone once they get in the playoffs either way. This whole season was a re welcoming season for me, just trying to get used to how it is now.
