Knowing bort yeah he will sit on it. Like he does lots of things including a big time nerf of the passing game. That kinda showed how badly the messed up the WR's a long time ago.

was going to suggest, but found in epic.
edit:
add in, 2 effective levels. 2 boxes. effective level untouched, and effective level with decline. second box either activates when decline does or is left at n/a till decline starts.
also frozen decline and effective level at retirement.

Is that a good or bad thing.
Discuss.
that is an entirely different thread IMO, in which a thread i would disagree on, it would take the fun out of the game, if i build a good 25/30 player...why do i have to face 32/30 players. if were both the same lvl and not the effective level its someones fault. building a good dot is not a secret with all these cookie cutter builds.

Not the point what my point is that Bort has talked about using effective levels to capleagues. If they do a career will be lengthened with geriatrics moving down leagues through their career into minors

I could see an older player continuing to play down to AAA or AA and maybe A (similar to an older baseball player finishing his career in the minors), but wouldn't allow them to drop below there.

Only problem I see is people sandbagging to make their low rank teams win.
Doubtful. It'd help them at the beginning, but not at the end of the season as a player in decline would get worse as the season progresses.
Thus, as a result, they might be lights out the first half of the season, but would bomb at the end of the season and in the playoffs when it really matters.
