i was thinking of building a "FB" like a speed HB. Could this work in the right system?

I've seen fast FBs do really well, but they were built more like combo/scat backs than pure speed backs. What SAs are you planning on using since the only speed-esque SA an FB has naturally is QC?

It will work just fine with archetypes and the new training system. Since you can now buy the key SAs for BTs.

Scat back FB archetype, use archetype SA on spin, buy juke/head fake/first step, etc...

Of course it took FOREVER for that build to finally start coming around. Should be much more practical with ALGs in speed and agility as primaries.

Haha I just built a Scat Back FB.. I plan on getting speed to 68 while training vision/catching..

im not expert, but im guessing you'll probably want speed higher than that for a scat FB. probably at least 74+

After I get other things to cap 68 I'll come back to it..

you'll be missing out on ALGs then. it is more efficient to just build to cap you want right away and let ALGs take it super high than to take it to a cap, work on other attributes and then come back to it. that essentially circle capping, and that was only good on positions with crappy ALGs, which was fixed with the advent of archetypes. if you are gonna take speed to 74+, its better to do it one fell swoop than to take it to 68, work on other stuff and then come back to it.

go ahead. im just letting you know that your way isnt the most efficient way, and because of that, your build wont be as good as it could be. but if you dont want to listen, go ahead and build your way. its your money/flex. spend it the way you want.

You're free to do what you want, but don't offer shitty advice if you don't want someone to correct you.

You want to end up with speed of around 100, even then you won't be outrunning LBs at the higher levels.

probably gonna want more than that. probably at least 115, and you could easily justify/build for 130 speed.
