WHat is borts take on extended decline for players/at the expense of like 10% flex back per season of plateau. (no training/vas)
The issue used to always be he didn't want 1 group to be at the top for a really long time. Since he could easily stop training/va's, he could essentially freeze players at d441, and new dots every season would be on equal footing

. Does he plan on doing this in any facet? What is being discussed about this?

With that poll that Bort did for Super Sunday, what was the most popular answer for next game to be made?

Catch22, Is there any possibility in the future that the game will actually be playable? For example, QuickHit football, a game which I rarely ever play, lets you play the games by picking which play your team does and then it simulates the play, while you get to watch. This would be interesting, and it would bring in a lot of money because only the team owners would get to play the games. This would result in people buying FP to buy teams. It is an interesting idea. Thoughts?

No, it'll never be a "live" game per se as far as I know.

Hasn't been discussed in the slightest, so no idea on what his take is.

More of a comment by a user, and then I would be interested in maybe your response to each comment and what is being looked into to solve each issue. I hope its not tl;dr or what ever the kids are saying these days.

Issue one- Pricing Structure. Flex is ridiculously expensive. I would rather pay $30 bucks a month then to buy $90 worth of flex every 3 months. You guys have to put in a subscription that gives you multiple players. The more guys you have to follow the more interesting and worthwhile this game becomes, the problem is, it costs a small fortune to boost them all to keep them competitive.

Issue two- Competition. Look as the disparity between teams in every league. When your paying money to play a game and your getting creamed in half of them and creaming someone else in the other half, where is the fun? What the heck happened to "Any given Sunday?"

Issue three- Lack of measurable statistics. So at this point your paying a small fortune for a guy whose games aren't close. So what's an agent to do? Look at stats to try and have some sort of happy meaning from this game. Each position needs a ton of measurable stats and analysis. O-line- how many sacks does he give up? How many times does his defender get around him? How many penalties does he draw? What are the RBs yards like when run in that O-linemen's direction? How many times does he push his defender backwards? Yards per run/yards per pass averages when the O-linemen is in the game and when he is out. These are just baseline things, but it would give us something more to have fun with and adjust our guys to in the game rather than watching a sim in 5 minutes and waiting for 48 hours to watch another 5 minute sim.

Issue four- Lack of Community- The minors suck. I remember how fun working my way up SEA A to Pro was. It was rewarding. There was a community of people in regions you liked, disliked, rooted for, against, players you admired and despised, but they were memorable. What have I taken away from the minors? Nothing, every season it is 31 new teams, new faces, dead league forums and little competition as pointed out in issue 2. The forums are sadly the most interesting part of this game, they are here once you watch your 5 minutes of replay. GLB has got to get a community going. Bring back regions. Have incentives to band more of the community together. I'm not sure how you do it, but something has to be done to bring people together and create interest in other teams. Maybe have a live simmed game in real time once a day for people to watch and chat over. Who knows.

Issue Five- Community involvement with improving the game of GLB (not just the sim) Yeah, this is Bort's game, but we are paying to play. You guys know what is wrong and what can be improved. Identify the issues you have and solicit more ideas from the community. From the sheer volume of people here, you are bound to get some good ideas, you just need to tell us more about what you need. If you don't have the resources for change, ie money and time, start having contests for the community to help you improve the site. Is the logo tired? Logo competition. Is the GUI plain and boring? Have users design templates. Archetypes? Have people submit proposals, not one sentence blurbs like 'Give guys another SA," but ask for well thought out papers that address the criteria and problems that you are concerned about. We aren't going to do the coding and such, but let us help you improve the game any way we can. WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED, because that means the game is better for us. There are a lot of smart people on here that can contribute to this game and want to, use them.

Two Part Question:

1) Is there a plan in place to try to eliminate guts from leagues? Bort currently does a sweep of the leagues, then does promotions. Typically people gut after the promotion to get money. Any chance of changing or improving this?

2) Has any thought been given to eliminating the Pyramid structure all together and going with a different system?

Okay, Archetype questions.

1. Why was the OL and DL archetypes toned down from 3 to 4 majors? That's really screwing over DTs, Gs, and Cs, mostly ones that have been created in the last 80 days because you're forcing them to choose one of the archetypes.

2. Why was Confidence added to the Combo LB's major list? I'm not saying it's useless, I know it's not, but it is a minor attribute and is not even CLOSE to being more important than Strength or Jumping to ANY type of linebacker. If you did it solely because you felt it was overpowered, then why not add something like Strength to the archetype? It remains viable and now it is toned down because the majors only receive .4 per level.

3. Why do WRs now have 5 majors (.4 per) and CBs still have 4 majors (.5 per)? I was under the impression that archetypes were created to make a balance between players who commonly face each other, and that is an imbalance.

Ah ok thanks for the info. Really glad Bort hired a voice to communicate with the people. Looking forward to these new archetypes.

Keep up the good work Catch. With your hiring I am actually going to buy a new flex package at the end of the season and continue to support this game.

way too tl; dr

One question at a time - too many other people with questions to try and address a five point long post.
