I would rather just a public forum so that experts can help D Leagues get their show up and running. I don't see a point in a private forum.

1) Because most new users don't visit the main forums. I didn't visit the mains until I was into my second season here.
2) As I said earlier, if it was public it would be an easy target for trolls.
3) This idea kind of corrals new users into one area making it easier to introduce them to the game vs. them seeking out scattered info and advice in the mains.

I stress that this forum should not be open to the public. Only people with players in the D-leagues and the mods for said forum (as well as full mods, FAQ mods, and admins obviously).
No reason for this, anyone will be able to go see whats going on by just making a quick player, signing then retiring him. Why out of all the forums should this one get a special lock?

My guess is to keep the guys out that would come in and flame noobs and such. Could they do what you suggest. Yes, but most are too lazy for that.

For the same reason the FAQ forum has a next to zero tolerance policy for flaming/trolling...because in the D-league forum there will be a large collection of new users.
I think the fact that I am suggesting to basically pull together a bunch of TEAM forums and create a kind of "party line" is being lost. This is not a suggestion to create a new forum in the mains, but rather a suggestion to bring info to new users by abandoning the isolation that is a D-league team forum in favor of one super forum.
