Is there anything that needs attention. I think I have a fairly good build and I have had pretty good success in both rushing with 7 tds in my rookie season and our rbs have been doing good so i hope that means that means I am doing good blocking. I am thinking about training some speed to help keep up with the rb though.

Copied from other thread.

With speed below 30 I was finding my HBs were across the line of scrimmage before me, watch the replays to see if this is happening to you and if so, pump speed.

Kramer, If you're building to be a blocking back (or even a rushing back) I think you're gonna need a bit more vision. It helps you find holes to charge through or block an incoming defensive player.

I'm currently running a little experiment player in the D-leagues. I've got my FB with this setup

Strength: 26.5 Blocking: 17.5
Speed: 9 Tackling: 10.6
Agility: 12.5 Throwing: 8
Jumping: 9 Catching: 10.6
Stamina: 14.6 Carrying: 14.5
Vision: 10.6 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 10.6 Punting: 8

2 in coverup, 4 in sticky hands, and 8 in powerthru

Going to boost to see what kind of broken tackles we'll get with 40+ strength and large points in powerthru. And the 9 speed will just be to taunt the opponent.

Figured I'd post here too.

Lvl 17

Strength: 55 Blocking: 35
Speed: 28.38 Tackling: 13.2
Agility: 22.62 Throwing: 9
Jumping: 11.71 Catching: 19.2
Stamina: 34.14 Carrying: 25
Vision: 27.68 Kicking: 10
Confidence: 19.88 Punting: 9

SAs
3 3 3 3 1 (With +1 custom item)
1 1 2 0 0

Now my immediate concern is some agility, say the next 5 points. But after that? I've so far rated str as more important than blocking, but perhaps I should put more points into blocking? Or should I just keep pumping str/speed/agi?

My boy started every game last season in USA BBB#7.
The RB went for 1351yds & Skullz is a BEAST.
Watch some film on him if you want....
I'll leave my stats open for 1 day.
...also....
I think it is silly as all hell to try & focus on one area.
FB's need a full spectrum of abilities to be effective.
I have tried to keep him even with obvious strengths.
IMHO if your FB is slow he will be ineffective.
HE HAS TO BE IN FRONT OF THE RB TO BLOCK FOR HIM.
I learned early in the Season....
Speed Backs will run you over.
Power is more important than blocking?
Not where I'm from....
Be a strong ol' boy & watch me block yer ass into the turf.
& how 'bout a lil' vision?
Can't pick up a blitz you don't see...
same goes for the blocks.
My Boy don't get pancakes & smash guys....
he just Knocks Skullz & watches his RB get 1350+.

I will continue his build as it has gone and offer
up my boy & his films for fellow FB's!
Good Luck with the path you choose in your build!!

As a side note...The O Nation will win the USA BBB#7 next season. ;p

Well I think my FB did fairly well.
Our team is really balanced with a lot of 'stars' and we didn't focus on any one player but Bobby did very well for a FB IMO.

Jumping: 12.15 Catching: 25.36

Anyone try a pass catching FB?

Not very common... but they were always some of my favorite players.

The sim doesn't like passing to FBs. Until they do some code tweaking, I would avoid concentrating on catching in any way.

I agree. In fact, I haven't even bothered to add any points or train catching on my FB.
