decent=/= not top 10

top 10 is fucking hard to do. but i think most old school SEA Pro people will put alot of older teams in before some newer ones,

this is my problem Im having...

there are two different eras of GLB...

pre S10 and post S10...

hard to compare teams from the different eras.

especially once extended plateau extend the life of some franchises...

no doubt...i don't think icrockets was trying to come up with a top 10. just establishing a list of very good teams that the ultimate top 10 would be chosen from.

the top 10 of SEAPL will all be much MUCH better than "decent"

ESLTire Fires have to be number 1, they have won 5 Se Asia titles, that alone makes them number 1.

lol not to hate on them, but to win 5 means they were demoted a few times from the w/l,,, the Garudas have won several too. I think the smurfs could have atleast 1 more silver and going for another gold if we were still in SEA

ESL is slam dunk #1 imo, with Garudas second.

btw I think they are #1 as well. but 5 titles doesnt really meanthey were the best SEA team for 5 seasons, I think Saigon is #1 tbh, every season they are in the w/l, they would win Gold

That could be true, but I think this is more about what you do while you're in SEA Pro.

why, repping SEA in the W/L is important. the and by the looks of it, unless the smurfs fuck up. SEA will have

Whores
ESL,
The Redbulls
Smurfs
and 2 more teams next season... sooner or later SEA gets watered down, and thats the only chance a team like the hustlers have of getting to the w/l

liek the season the smurfs and garuda went to the w/l, we won gold and they won silver, and if they win gold this season they will have a 2 trophies over the same time as us only hvaing 1, but i think we have had a better 2 seasons.. the smurfs

lost to saigon in the CCG
Beat the Garuda in the super wok
lost in the W/L CCG to the W/L champ
and so far are prob going to snag an 8th seed in the w/l playoffs

I think thats a very impressive stretch, with only 1 gold to show for it,

not a bad 4 season span tbh

My issue with teams like the Smurfs, Whores, TKW are that they're not so much elite franchises as they are elite teams. If you take each team's 3 or 4 best seasons, you're going to see relatively identical rosters. Not that it's easy to get one roster of excellent dots that stay together for a couple seasons until they hit their prime and dominate for 4 more...but I think a team like the Garudas, ESL, or even the Rampage have to be considered better franchises because we've been at the top of SEAPL for a long enough period of time that we've had to re-equip ourselves with different batches of dots. i wouldn't be at all surprised if teams like the Whores or TKW are ranked considerably higher on the list than a team like the Rampage because we simply don't have the combination of hardware and WL success that they do, and that's not a problem. But depending on your criteria it could be argued that there's a slimmer margin between those 2 different kinds of franchises than you may think. And when we're looking at the Top 2 or 3 franchises on the list, I think that longevity should definitely give a team like the Garudas an edge over the Whores or TKW or the Smurfs.

i can see this, but ill use the smurfs as an example, since season 9 we had winona in SEA Pro and they were a good one at that and our farm team, the smurfs, in SEA AAA, the season the smurfs promoed the Winona rebuilt... now we could have just roster swapped and continued as winona, but we took a handful or our best dots of of winona and brought them to the smurfs, and the smurfs have been in SEA Pro of the W/L since season 14. I think Our franchise of Winona/the Smurfs have been a very suscessful one
