Lord Evil, I don't post much in this forum, just read all the good stuff you post, and I have to say GREAT F'N JOB. I love how you do matchups every week. I am a part of 4 teams and there is nothing in the forums like what you do. I realize that I will probably not be a part of gold next year and that is fine by me, we did not have a good game plan as far as agents this year. Even if I do drop to silver next year, I will read this forum as regularly as I do now. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you in a scrimmage or even a tourney next year. We are 0-3 against Short Bus and I hope to break the streak next year. But keep doin what you're doin, cause I love every minute of it.

LE has been one of the main contributers for keeping peewee forums alive ...Peewee Gold forum is tha biz imo

Thanks for all the props guys. The initial set up is the hard part, then its just a matter of a few clicks the rest of the season and changing the records since excel thinks every freaking record like 12-1-0 is a date and I have to manually change those. It also helps to see how you fair against the team your playing, maybe one dya Bort wil add that as well. When I first put it together I just wanted some way of seeing who played who right after the current game was played and there isnt a way unless you click on each and every team. The match ups on GLB would only show up on game day which I thought sucked, I figured why at it why not show stats vs stats. If anyone has any other suggestions just holler. Its not hard to add anything.

Lol, did you format the excel cell properly? You shouldn't have to adjust the colum/row each time you change the input.

I tried two different ways. I tried formatting it and then importing the records page, that didn't work, it still reverts it back to a Date. I also tried to format the cells and then copy and paste, same thing, it automatically reverts to a Date. I have to put a ' in front of the record so I would click on 9/3/2000 and change it to '9-3-0 and it then works that way.
I tried all the options, Genreal/Text/Numers, etc etc

First select the range of cells you are going to paste to, and right click->format cells->text
Then, copy your column of data, select the same cells in excel, and right click->paste special->text

You have to to both, in that order. If you paste normally into a cell (even a text formatted one) excel will reformat the cell with its best guess (it assumes you want to copy the formatting too, so whatever format you selected for the cell is overwritten with its best guess in the paste process, which in this case is date)

Similarly if you paste-special-text into a cell that you didn't pre-format as text already (is still General) then it sees the data coming in as text, but when you click off the cell the General format on the cell will override it and give you more or less the same date result (as if you typed 12-1-1 in by hand and let the cell general-format it) Its one of the things that annoyed me about excel for a really long time till I figured out the work around.

Hope this helps you out

unfortunately, redwins tip isn't the kind of thing they normally teach in an Excel class. At least not in the 2 classes I took last year .
I think he is just smart like that
