*deep breath* Dang playoffs are nerve-wracking.

GG, Buffalos. Very close one.

P.S. 4 touchbacks? Give a guy a chance to return something!

Great game Emerald City. As anyone could have predicted, it was a close, hard-fought defensive battle. Definitely could have gone either way.

Indeed - congratulations on the victory. That was painful to watch though - we went into the 4th with a one point lead and all I could think was "If either team can find a way to score a TD in this game it's over". Then you guys marched down the field and scored .

Anyway, well deserved win and good luck in the next round.

On a side note, the combined score of the Burning Pride-Flying Monkeys games (both Pride victories) was 28-15. I think that's as good an advertisement as any as to the talent on both defenses - especially when you consider that both offenses have a lot of weapons.

I think Fiji's shutout of Newcastle speaks pretty well about their defense

My comment wasn't to suggest a lack of talent on other teams, or even that the Burning Pride and Flying Monkeys have the two best Ds in the league - rather just pointing out that based on the regular reason stats of the offenses involved the fact that these teams held each other to such low scoring in both contests is impressive.

In fact, I agree that Fiji's win over Newcastle is also very impressive. Any time you can shutout another playoff team is extremely impressive - especially when it's the lower seed in the matchup that pitched the shutout...

Wow, that's crazy. Fiji's defense held us to 8 points earlier this season, so I'm not shocked, but a shutout is a shutout. Either way, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy that the only Alpha team to beat us in ther regular season is out of the running.

Yeah, but now you are gonna have to deal with the team that beat the only team to beat you guys. If that makes sense?

Fiji's desense is impressive. Their only touchdown was by the defense.

Yeah, but we're the only team to be the only team that has them as the only team to beat them (meaning us).

Dammit, you're right. The transitive property says we're fucked, and math never lies :\

The Vampires beat my U Canes on the last play of the game. 7 yards to go. What a shitty play call.

Ouch. Four chances from inside the 10 to win the game. That's a tough break right there.
