Enjoy sharing the distinction of being the only teams in Brisbane to not be the #1 seed in their conference with these boys
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=971

since both the Gods and the Heat of AA are sitting pretty right now.

I don't know if you've looked at the schedules on the way out, but I think that the Number one seed in Pro-Alpha is very, very much up for grabs.

You're right, thats really strange, earlier they were #2 before Canberra played. For some reason it looks like points scored is still the tiebreaker, but it was supposed to be head to head now.

I remember the talk being very similar to this last season. All about Alpha and their records..none about Zeta and the strength of the teams who beat each other up week in and week out. Then week 16 happened.....followed by the playoffs.

Alpha got real quiet after that for some reason.

"Tie breaker - H2H wins -> points scored -> points allowed

Brisbane = 1-1 with tied teams
NE = 1-0 with tied teams
Canberra = 0-1 with tied teams.

Ultimately, if NE beats Canberra, they will be in 1st but as the system is set up, it only goes by H2H (h2h record counts as record against teams you are tied with) wins, not losses. Brisbane probably has more points scored than NE so since they have the same # of H2H wins, it goes to points scored."

That explains it, kind of lame though.

It's because new England and Canberra haven't played each other yet, so they can't rank all three 13-1 teams with HTH, so for now it's points scored. After next game, when NE plays Canberra, it will be HTH.

That means that if NE wins, they'll be first, Brisbane second and Canberra third. If Canberra wins, and Brisbane wins against the Cardinals, Brisbane will be first, then Canberra, and NE third.

It is possible for the Bearcats to slip into the Top 3!

actually Brisbane is not guaranteed 1st place if the Strike win. If they are still leading points scored then yes but if not, then they will drop to second or 3rd. not very likely but i was just sayin'...i do that a lot

best record vs tied teams. if they are all 1-1 vs each other it goes by points scored.
