I dont get what is such a pain in the ass about having a playbook? I mean really??? its not setting up a AI its just selecting what plays the sim will choose from.. I didnt think that was such a pain..

No. Leaving the playbook untainted is one of the things that makes it a Casual League game.

The driving force should be more to remove the lame HB shotgun run plays (both inside and outside plays).

I would say YES to being able to remove plays, but you should only be able to remove up to so many. Say, idk, "5" in the whole playbook. Or maybe a max of 1 to 2 per catergory...(i.e.- RUSH/INSIDE/HB, RUSH/OUTSIDE/HB, etc....). This would allow us to avoid completely senseless plays, but also preventing individuals from minimizing the playbook to the point that they are able to use exploit plays.

it was more just curiosity.. I dont think they will ever change it.. I personally would like to be able to.. not determine how much a play is ran but which plays my offense would use.. but I can see the opposite side to.. people may only use certain plays over and over and you really cant defense against that all to well becasue you dont know what defense the computer is going to pick for you..
