First, this is intended to be another means of finding players for your teams, as well as finding teams for your players. We will conduct this draft based on the honor system. If you include your player as a draft candidate, you are strongly encouraged to accept the contract offer of the team that drafted your player. Agents who do not honor the draft, will be removed from this network and black listed from further drafts.
****Rules****
1. For team owners or GM's to participate in the draft process, they must also supply atleast one Free Agent to be included into the draft, whom is equal too or greater than the stage in which they are applying for. You may enter as many players as you wish, as long as at least ONE meets the criteria stated above.
.......................Addendum A: If the team has entered more than 1 player than removes any of those players after the draft order is determined, than they are reverted back with in accordance to how many players they have in.
.......................Example: Team enters 4 players originally; Removes 2 players after draft order; Causes them to revert down by 50%. Math = 20 Teams entered, They have #4 pick, leaves 16 teams behind them, 50% of 16 is 8, they will now pick at 12............If they remove their sole entry for qualification or all their players, that's considered 100% and they are they are removed from the draft chart completely.
2. Teams may draft as many players as they need, as long as it's their position to make a draft choice and supplies allow
3. Draft order will be determined using a Random Generator, providing the same amount of footballs, per how many players they entered into their respective stage or higher. (Footballs give precedence to that team, as per the generator)
4. The initial contract MUST follow these guidelines: 1 season, Day 40, No Trade, $500 a day or 20% more than minimums (Salary AND Bonus)
5. Draft will take place during the 8 Playoff Days of each season, exact date to be announced by the stage reps.
6. Teams will be notified of schedule of draft by no later than day 32 to ensure they will be present.
7. Team owners may assign a GM to attend in their place.
8. Teams will have 5 minutes to complete a draft pick. Trades are allowed on draft day, but you must inform the Stage Rep of such a trade before your 5 minutes have been met. Trades will add an additional 10 minutes to the overall selection. Which means, you have 15 minutes to conduct the trade AND for the new team to make their selection. The 5 minutes DOES NOT start over after 15 minutes. All teams are encouraged to have trades hashed out before D-day, but not required.
9. Do not "Snipe" players in the draft. Sniping is to talk a player into signing with your team and disregarding the draft process. Teams and Agents who conduct business that way, will be banned from all future drafts.
10. Players not drafted by Day 40, no longer have a commitment to this draft and could make their player eligible outside of the draft, to teams not involved.
11. Final draft pick must be submitted to draft Rep for entry into the official results thread. This may be done in the form of Chat, PM or Instant message. This in an effort to keep the results thread clean and free of unnecessary chatter.
12. Please draft appropriately for your average team level. Meaning, if you average level 35 and try to pick a level 45, you will be denied and have to search again. Clock continues to tick! So scout appropriately!
13. Players may elect not to be eligible as a draft candidate for casual teams. Players must state that they are not interested in casual teams in their official entry request. The stage reps will also reflect this choice on the official draft chart for the stage. Players who do not state "No Casual" in their entry post are considered candidates to be drafted by casual teams and are expected to sign with the team who drafts them. If a casual team drafts a "No Casual" designated player, those players may, at will decide not to sign and the team will simply lose the pick.
14. If a team reports a player as not signing their contract, in addition to the player's ban, the team will receive a compensatory pick at the end of the same round of the next draft , in what ever stage the team qualifies for at the time of the second pick. The team MUST be entered into the second draft to receive the compensatory pick.
This will go into effect with the results of the season 9 draft and will not affect this draft at all!!
15. QB, HB, P, and K cannot be used as a qualifying player but will count as 1/2 player(rounded down if not equaling a whole number) when considering footballs.
16. Drafts MUST last at least 2 rounds. Reps should ensure a 2:1 player to team ratio when accepting teams to the draft list. No Kickers or Punters will count towards the player totals for the purpose of this calculation. The Draft Rep will decide how many QBs and HBs count towards the Player totals but no more than 5 each. The Draft rep will also decide a "maximum" number of rounds(Recommended at 4 but will be decided based on player to team ratio). Any rounds held past this "maximum" will be considered voluntary rounds and the players will be allowed to opt-out of the drafted team and enter free agency.
17. All players contracts must end on day 40 of the current season to be entered into the draft.
Beginning with the Season 10 Draft!
18. Owners will not impede the development of the players drafted. It is expected that Owners provide all drafted players with at least the minimum plays for max experience (20). While we understand that on occasion a team will surprise you and cause a particular player to drop a few plays below, but this needs to be the exception not the rule. Players should bring any violations of this to the attention of the board. This rule does not specifically pertain to playing time for K and P however the spirit of the rule should be followed when dealing with these players also.
19. Player who do not boost and will not boost in the upcoming season may enter the stage below their level.
20. Stages will be defined as following, and will have the specified minimum income and staduim requirements for teams to enter.
Stage 1(levels 14-21) - 500k PGI - 12000 Seats
Stage 2(levels 22-34) - 2.8m PGI - 18000 Seats
Stage 3(levels 35-44) - 4.5m PGI - 30000 Seats
Stage 4(levels 45-99) - 5.0m PGI - 40000 Seats.......PGI - Per Home Game Income(Average Ticket sales+Concession sales) will be taken into account starting with the season 10 draft.
There will not be a lvl1-13 or a pee wee draft.
How do we come up with team averages?
The Calculation: Add together levels of all players on your STARTING roster only, Divide by number of players on STARTING roster = Average
(By the way, i did not use the kickers or punters, because often they are much lower and would have hurt your average)
21. All rules subject to change as needs may arise.
